This week is Independent Venues Week! It was great to hear Richard from Smile Bar & Venue on BBC Radio Leeds on Monday talking about the venue and how important it is to support local venues and artists. The Live Lounge at Smile is a fantastic place for upcoming artists to cut their teeth in a warm and supportive atmosphere - our students have built a lot of confidence getting on stage there! Every second Wednesday night for anyone who fancies it 🎶

Listen to Richard at 1:09:00 on BBC sounds:

Waking you up this morning, Gayle sits in for Rima.

🔥 Groove like a pro 🔥

We’re all about upping your bass game 😉 After learning some basic arpeggio shapes, Freya has been working on applying them to a beat while mixing up her rhythms - it’s amazing how much more exciting this can make your playing.

Come and see us anytime to finally move beyond your root notes!

Did you know we can help you get officially certified as an awesome musician? 🔥

Our students have a 100% pass rate for the graded music exams we've put them up for. These gradings are a fun way to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding and attain an officially recognised qualification in your chosen instrument.

If you fancy taking your playing to the next level, this could provide you the structure to do that. Let us help you to get your certificate!

This is how it's done! We met young band 21st Century Liability at a battle of the bands last Monday and their set was seriously 🔥

Showcasing amazing technique, performance and stage presence all round, these lads are great inspiration to our students to get out there and get gigging!

Our own band playing Adelaide Taylor Music originals made it through to the quarter finals - can't wait to see who we're up against!
