Creating curiosity in the classroom, deep discussions, big questions and enquiries across the curriculum. A very fun and thought provoking day modelling good pedagogy in enquiry based learning and putting ownership of learning in the hands of children.

Did you ask any good questions today?
A drizzly but very atmospheric morning planning and booking venues for January courses at NCMM. I also met 'Rich Tea', a mining engineer, I posed him a question about 'why is the water is yellow/orange ?' It seems this is 'ochre' coming out of the mine and is now being processed and used for things such as yellow paint pigment. I latter discovered it was used by ancient Egyptians for tomb painting, rouge for lips, but also used by many prehistoric and indigenous cultures for art. It's amazing where a question can take you, science, art and technology for me today.
