From the start of the 2026 to 2027 academic year, all children from households in receipt of Universal Credit, attending relevant schools, will be entitled to receive a free meal.
Going forward, there will be 2 categories of benefits-based free school meals:
Targeted FSM, which continues to be based on the existing threshold, covering pupils who are in households in receipt of Universal Credit with annual household earnings of £7,400 or less.
Expanded FSM, a new category covering pupils who do not qualify for targeted FSM, but who are in households receiving Universal Credit
You must apply if your child is starting school or is of school age between reception and year 6. The process is simple and can be done in 5 mins online at :

Do not miss out as these benefits will also potentially give you shopping vouchers for the main grocery stores in school holidays.

I spent the morning cheering on Moldgreen Rugby 🏉 at my childhood amateur rugby club Shaw Cross Sharks 🦈 today where Jess, Isaac and Tylen played in their annual gala! You were fabulous as always!
I love watching you all in your element playing sport. 💚💛

Today, I said farewell to my beautiful little class, and my heart feels so full. As I begin a new chapter teaching abroad, I'm leaving behind a group of children who have changed me forever. I hope I've taught you as much as you've taught me. Your hard work, kindness and laughter have made me a better teacher and a better person! You are ever so lucky to continue your journey in a school with the biggest heart. Thank you for the memories! 🥰

And with that, the 2026 season comes to an end.
6Tee, you have been AMAZING!! I've loved every minute of having you all in my class this year, I'm so proud of each and every one of you, and am very sad to see you all go. 😭
Have an amazing summer and go smash high school. Try your very best, work hard, have fun, but most of all be happy and always look for the joy in life - because you deserve it!
Lots of love, Mrs Tee ❤️ xx

A massive thank you to Jason who has volunteered twice a week for the last eleven years at breakfast club. He has been a joker and a friend to all of the children. Moreover, he is the best toast buttererer in town.

Another year complete. Today has been both sad and happy for me. Some of you I have taught for 2 years and watched you grow from reception to the end of Year 1. You are all such amazing children who have the warmest of hearts and are so determined with everything you do. I will miss you all so very much. I hope you will still come and see me when you move onto Year 2.
Lots and lots of love, Miss Dobson # # # # #
