✨🌞 HOLIDAY CLUB – WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO! ✨🌞

We can’t believe we’re already into our final week of holiday club! 😱💛 We’ve had such a fantastic few weeks filled with fun, creativity, games, laughter and lots of new experiences for the children.

We realised we hadn’t shared what we’ve been getting up to, so here’s a little catch-up! 👇

🌿 WEEK 1 – NATURE WEEK 🌿
We got stuck into all things nature! 🌳🍃
The children made some fantastic nature pictures, built their very own nature rafts, enjoyed a visit from the brilliant Crazy Colin the Magician 🎩✨ and got creative with some rock painting 🎨🪨

🏖️ WEEK 2 – BEACH WEEK 🏖️
We brought the beach to Scissett! ☀️🌊
There were lots of sandcastle building, paper plate seagulls 🐦, more fantastic rock painting, and plenty of fun with axe throwing! 🪨🎨

💦 WEEK 3 – WATER WEEK 💦
Things got very wet and very fun! 😂💧
We enjoyed loads of fun water games, got creative with the amazing Art Starz Art Club, who came along to teach the children some brilliant painting techniques using water 🎨💦

We also had plenty of time for chilling out in the tent, chalk art, and of course… LOTS of games! 🏕️🖍️🎲

🔬🧪 AND NOW… SCIENCE WEEK! 🧪🔬

We’re finishing our summer holiday club with a whole week dedicated to SCIENCE! 🚀⚗️

We’ve got lots of exciting experiments, activities and scientific fun planned, and we can’t wait to see what the children discover! 👩‍🔬🧑‍🔬✨

A huge thank you to all the children who have joined us so far and helped make the last few weeks so much fun. ❤️

We have a few HAF funded places become available for the first two weeks of the summer holidays - Mon 20th to Thurs 23rd and Mon 27th to Thurs 30th July. These are available to children who receive benefit related free school meals. If you would like to book then please use this link.

Do you enjoy helping children learn, play, and grow? We’re looking for a caring and energetic Playworker to join our friendly team at Scissett Kids Club, located at Scissett Academy, Wakefield Road, Scissett, HD8 9HR.
This role starts at 10 hours per week, with the chance to take on more hours over time. You’ll support our Breakfast Club, After School Club, and Holiday Club provision.

This is some feedback from one of our parents about our last holiday club at Easter about our funded places.

"The activities are above the standard that you would expect for a place you were paying for, let alone a funded place. The kids club and staff work tirelessly to ensure that every child can access an activity that they will enjoy! It truly is a wonderful facility!"
