We have a truly wonderful World Book Day yesterday. Each class learnt from a book which focused on a different colour, with some wonderful results, but my favourite part of the day was the children sitting and reading together - it was magical!

Massive congratulations to our Year 3 Boys, who won this afternoon's Year 3 Boys' Shelley Pyramid Football Tournament at Kirkburton Middle School!

We've (almost) got some new additions at school - hatching tomorrow and Thursday!

This morning we had Joanne from Kirklees in school to talk about Road Safety. She led an assembly with Rowan 2s, Sycamore, Beech and Holly Classes all about the Green Cross Code and how to keep ourselves safe by a road, before delivering workshops to Year 2, Year 1 and Little Willows.

Year 1 had a fantastic time at Shelley College today at their Multi-Sport event!
