This week we have been exploring the farmyard 🐷🐄🚜 in toddler room mainly focusing on fine motor skills and hand eye coordination.

The children have really enjoyed washing the dirty animals using brushes making sure they are nice and clean 🧽.
They have also been rolling eggs down the hen house chute and making their own farmyard using pegs and sticks to pen the animals in. 👩‍🌾🐐🐑

🍪 Baking and Mathematical Learning in Preschool! 🍪

This week in our preschool room, the children have been busy baking delicious cookies! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Baking is not only lots of fun, but also provides wonderful opportunities for developing early mathematical skills. The children explored counting, measuring, weighing, capacity, size, shape and sequencing as they followed the recipe and prepared their cookies.

Through these hands-on experiences, children are learning that mathematics is all around us and can be meaningful, practical and lots of fun! ❤️🍪

During our trip to the park this week, the preschool and holiday club children had lots of opportunities to develop their physical skills. They enjoyed running, climbing, balancing and exploring the outdoor space, helping to build their coordination, strength, balance and confidence.

Our little under-twos have been having an absolute blast today, splashing and playing in the water tray! 💦😊

We’ve been making marks in the foam using our hands and feet, practicing our movement and coordination! 🖐️👣
We’ve also been building towers with the foam, working on our motor skills, concentration, and problem-solving. 🏗️✨

It's the perfect chance to admire some truly impressive motorcycles, connect with our wonderful staff and residents, and most importantly, contribute to a vital cause. All proceeds will go to Combat Stress, supporting veterans' mental health. Come along from 2pm-5pm for an afternoon of community and bikes!

This week, we're diving into the delightful story of Dear Zoo! The children have been enjoying reading the book, and we've brought it to life with the animals and boxes! 🦁🐍🦒
We're also focusing on learning familiar stories and seeing if the children can remember and recall some of the words from the story. It's wonderful to watch their growing confidence and language skills! 🌟
Additionally, we're expanding our vocabulary by using mathematical words like big and small, along with descriptive words to help the children develop their language and understanding of the world around them. 🐘🐒🐸

🎶This week in the under twos are having so much fun exploring our interests ! All things ‘Old Macdonald’ we are bringing the song to life! 🐄🐖🐑🐓The under twos have been loving the interactive fun and the hand puppets. 🚜🌾👨🏼‍🌾

Today some of the preschool children and holiday club children enjoyed a visit to the park.
