Following our Harvest Festival collections, some of our children had the very important job of taking all the wonderful donations down to The Welcome Centre Food Bank.

A huge thank you to our Mount families for your generosity. It was lovely for the children to see where their donations were going and to understand how something as simple as giving can make a real difference to people within our local community.
A little kindness goes a long way.

Our Autumn Wellbeing Day took place in school yesterday, with a special focus on “I feel safe.”

The day began with a warm welcome into our assembly hall, which had been transformed into a cosy and inviting space. Together, the children explored what it means to feel safe and considered what feeling unsafe might look and feel like.

Throughout the day, all year groups thoroughly enjoyed creating their very own classroom dens. It was wonderful to see the children immersed in play, using their imaginations and experiencing the pure joy of childhood.

Our Wellbeing Days are a valued part of our school calendar, providing both children and staff with a special opportunity to pause, reflect and focus on our emotional wellbeing.

Meet Peggy Mount!

Our entry for this year’s Lindley Scarecrow Festival has officially arrived in the Lindley Memorial Garden today.

Peggy Mount (a name that might ring a bell for some…) has been created by our children using hundreds of individual peg characters, each lovingly made before being brought together to create one very special Mount scarecrow. A few of Peggy’s creators even came along today to help install her!

If you’re visiting the Lindley Scarecrow Festival between today and Sunday evening, make sure you pop into the Memorial Garden and say hello to Peggy.

This week, our young coders explored angles and distance as they put their programming skills to the test!

Using the “move at” block, they programmed their robots to navigate the field at different angles, avoid obstacles, and estimate how far to travel in each direction.

Through testing, tweaking, and problem-solving, they learned how small changes to their code can make a big difference!

The building blocks for life are made at break time too. 🧱✨

Through play, children build confidence, creativity, teamwork and resilience — learning valuable skills while simply having fun.

Because some of life’s biggest lessons happen beyond the classroom. 💛
