👩🏫✨ Head Teacher for the Day! ✨👩🏫
Today, one of our amazing pupils had the incredible honour of becoming Head Teacher for the Day!
Working secretly alongside Mr Burton-Smith, she planned an unforgettable day packed with fun, laughter, and smiles for pupils and staff alike.
She kicked things off with a surprise emergency assembly, where she confidently revealed her exciting plans, had everyone buzzing with anticipation, and even hosted a smile competition to set the tone for the day!
The fun didn’t stop there… 🍦 Ice cream for break, inflatable fun on the bouncy castle, karaoke chaos, competitive games, golden tickets and delicious sandwiches for lunch made for a truly memorable experience.
Our Head Teacher for the Day did an outstanding job, leading with confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm from start to finish. Mr Burton-Smith might just have found his future successor!
A huge well done to our fantastic pupil for creating a day that brought so much joy to our whole school community. It’s a day we’ll all remember for a long time to come! 💙

A huge well done to our fantastic FV children on their superb final Assembly of the year! 🎭 Their abridged performance of Macbeth explored ambition, witches and the infamous Scottish Curse, captivating the audience from start to finish. With excellent acting, clear diction and an enthralling song about the Three Witches, they earned rapturous applause. We are so proud of you all. Well done, FV! 👏⭐

🎶 Form IV filled the room with energy during their class assembly as they showcased everything they’ve been learning about sound! 🔊
The children confidently explained how sounds are made, how they travel, and how we hear them, while impressing everyone with their growing scientific vocabulary. They spoke with confidence, performed with enthusiasm, and truly brought their learning to life.
We are so proud of each and every one of them. What a fantastic celebration of their hard work, curiosity, and growing confidence. Well done, Form IV! 👏✨

Form III thoroughly enjoyed presenting The Assembly That Keeps Getting Interrupted!
It began as an assembly about poetry, but everything changed when one of the hosts dropped an interesting rock onto the stage. What followed was a series of unexpected interruptions, leading to a Science lesson on classifying rocks, a History lesson exploring the Stone Age, and a lively performance of We Will Rock You.
At last, the children were able to return to their original plan and proudly share their wonderful poetry. Thankfully, the interruptions were all part of the script, and a fun way to celebrate everything Form III have learnt this term.

🎨✨ The grand opening of The Mount Art Gallery! ✨🎨
This week, our talented Form II artists rolled out the red carpet to welcome parents to a very special exhibition celebrating a year’s worth of creativity.
Guests were taken on a journey through our gallery, where the children became the artists, sharing the stories behind their masterpieces with confidence, humour and wonderfully clear voices. From vibrant oil pastels and colourful blending techniques to clay dragon eyes, collages, perspective drawings, still life paintings and sculptures, every piece showcased not only artistic skill but also how much the children have grown throughout the year.
The exhibition ended with a fantastic performance of We’re All In This Together, reminding us that every artist brings something unique, and that together we can create something truly special.
We couldn’t be prouder of our young artists. Thank you to all our Form II families for joining us on such a memorable morning. ❤️🎭🖼️✨

Ahoy, me hearties!
Shiver me timbers, what a grand adventure we had! Form I took to the stage to perform ‘A Pirate Poem Adventure’ for their class assembly. Our fearless pirate crew worked together brilliantly, showing that with teamwork, encouragement and a true pirate spirit, every challenge can be conquered!
A mighty thank ye to all our families for joining us on our swashbuckling voyage, it made the day even more special! We were also dazzled by the incredible pirate costumes. Some were even handmade, and every pirate looked shipshape and ready for adventure!
Three cheers for our amazing pirate crew! You should all be incredibly proud of your confidence, enthusiasm and spectacular performances.
Yo ho ho... what a crew!

Today’s session built on the children’s computing lessons by combining their knowledge of the micro:bit with our STEM Club learning using the Strawbees Robotic Inventions kit.
Some children designed and built mechanical cranes, using a micro:bit and servo motor to control their creations. Others created their own Magic 8 Balls, coding their micro:bits to generate random responses when shaken before adding them to their Strawbees prediction toys.
These fun, hands-on projects gave everyone the chance to apply their coding skills in creative new ways, developing their problem-solving, engineering, and programming skills along the way! 🤖💡🔧
