On Thursday 29th September, The Magic Research Group presents a work in progress presentation of Unbreakable.

A show where two experts in their own respective fields work together to explore what makes or breaks the art of Magic.

Showtimes;

5.00pm-6.00pm

6:30pm-7:30pm

8.00pm-9.00pm

The format for this work in progress event will comprise of a performance of Unbreakable followed by a magician and audience Q&A to discuss and give feedback on the work.

This is a free event for ages 16+

The University of Huddersfield has one 50% fee waiver available for a postgraduate research student in Drama, Theatre and Performance.

Start date: 18 January 2021.

We will prioritize PhD applications in the following areas of staff expertise:

• Disability, theatre and performance

• Aging in literature and performance

• Gothic and horror in dramatic performance

• Performance magic in practice and culture

Other areas of research may also be considered. The deadline for fee waiver proposals is 23 October. The standard deadline (not eligible for the fee waiver) is 20 November.

Research students receiving a 50% fee waiver will be expected to contribute 40 hours per year in support of teaching, research, recruitment activity, or administration.
