What began as a very personal project for their newborn daughter has grown into a collection of children's adventures inspired by real family history, memories and places across Huddersfield, Yorkshire and northern Spain.

It's been lovely seeing the response to the collection — particularly after Huddersfield Hub shared Daniel and Clara's story yesterday.

We're incredibly proud to see a project that began with real family stories and memories become an actual collection of children's books.

After months of writing, illustrating, editing and bringing our family's stories together, seeing the first five books actually here in hardback feels pretty special.

The Clara & Lumi Collection is inspired by real people, places and memories from Yorkshire, Spain and beyond — all turned into magical adventures for Clara.

And the little star of the whole collection seems pretty impressed with them too! 😂⭐

A slightly different story from us today… ❤️📚

Our own Daniel and his newborn daughter Clara are featured in Huddersfield Hub today with The Clara & Lumi Collection — 16 children's adventures inspired by Daniel and Itziar's real family history.

Behind the magic and adventure are real people, real memories and real places — from Huddersfield, Golcar and Pen*stone to Bilbao and northern Spain.

As educators, we particularly love the idea behind the collection: encouraging children to become curious about where they come from, talk to older generations and discover the stories sitting within their own families.

And considering Clara isn't even a month old yet, she's doing pretty well for herself! 😂❤️

🎓 OUR ENRICHMENT CLUB LEAGUE TABLE IS GROWING! 🚀

Thank you to everyone who’s voted, commented, tagged friends and suggested new ideas so far. We’ve had a brilliant response from families across Huddersfield and Pen*stone, and it’s already helping us decide what we develop next.

🔭 Young Astronomers currently leads the way, with Junior CSI and Young Scientists close behind — but voting is still open!

And there’s a reason we’re asking... 👀

Behind the scenes, we’re working on something much bigger than individual clubs.

🟣 INNOVATION ACADEMY

A new project built around investigation, science, technology, engineering, creativity, problem-solving and real-world challenges — giving young people opportunities to investigate, invent, build and create.

That’s all we’re saying for now. 😏

🎓 GCSE RESULTS DAY 2026! 🎓

What a day! We couldn't be prouder of our students and the results coming through at Huddersfield Education Hub. 💙

Behind every grade is a student who turned up, kept going, built their confidence and worked incredibly hard.

We've already heard about:

🌟 6 • 6 • 6 in Maths, English Language & English Literature
📈 Grades 2/3 in mocks → 5/6 in the final English exams
🏆 5 • 5 in Foundation Science — the maximum possible grades
👏 A 4/5 pass after more than two years out of school
➗ Grade 5 Maths, with one family telling us they had “no doubt at all” that the extra tuition at the Hub helped achieve it

And those are just some of the stories coming in.

The messages from parents today have meant an enormous amount to us. ❤️

A massive congratulations to every student — whatever was inside that envelope this morning, you should be proud of the work you've put in and how far you've come.

And a huge thank you to our brilliant tutors for everything they've done to support them.

Our first enrichment idea takes us into space! 🌙✨

Telescopes, planets, stars, constellations and hands-on activities — but we want local families to help us shape it before we decide the details.
