Due to demand, I’m going to put on a small group for year 11 foundation students, Saturdays 12-1. I wondered whether anyone else would be interested? I’m also exploring the possibility of having a group for intermediate students, looking for grades 5/6/7.

Well my first year as a full time tutor went well! My year 11’s all matched or exceeded their expectations and I was really chuffed with all of them. I had some amazing students last year. I was very lucky. Some of them have kindly added to my reviews and were very kind in their praise .
My new term is starting and I’m full on with only a little time during the day available now. I have some great new students this year as well as my lovely continuing young people.
I’m feeling very blessed and pleased that my, rather scary, decision to give up a secure full-time job has paid off in such a rewarding manner.

Another couple of group sessions in the half term holidays to practice for the calculator papers. All went well and the students worked very hard. Pictured the homemade lunch. I made the sausage rolls, humous and cakes. I even grew the lettuce!!

Another first for me. The lunch time group session to go over 2 papers, which they had previously done. All participated, all learnt something, including me, All enjoyed lunch!!
We’ll be doing this again during half term to prepare for the calculator papers!

Good Afternoon!

It’s rather close to the GCSE’s now and I’m offering group revision sessions in the second week of the holidays. Each student will complete 2 past papers (one calculator, one non-calculator) before the session and we’ll go through the papers, as a group, during the session. The group sessions are 2 and a half hours, including a tea and homemade cake break, with a maximum of 5 students per group.

I have a couple of groups with 2/3 places available:

On Wednesday 3rd of April, 9:00 – 11:30 I have a group for those students aiming for Grades 5/6/7.

On Thursday 4th April 9 – 11:30 there is a Foundation level group.

If you have a child who would be interested in either of these groups, please message me!

I’m wondering if there is any demand for a two-hour group revision session in the half term.
I have some time free 2:30 – 4:30 on the Tuesday and thought of a couple of suggestions:
• If I provided a couple of past papers beforehand, we could go through them whilst eating snacks!
Or,
• If students could tell me specific topics beforehand and we could go through these, also whilst eating snacks!
It’s Halloween so dressing up would be optional!

Helping people is why I love teaching!

Well I've completed my first full month of working for myself! I have managed to gain some amazing students to teach which I am thoroughly enjoying and, hopefully, they are too! This is coupled together with brilliant and supportive parents. I am feeling very blessed.

Looking forward to meeting new tutees from August onwards for 1-2-1 tutoring or in small groups.

I am taking bookings for new tutees to start middle of August onwards!
