Top Tip Tuesday! 😄

🌟 Never sign in silence! 🌟

At Sing and Sign our goal is to help you support and encourage your baby’s early communication and speech development. 😊

We teach you simple signs which we encourage you to use to highlight key words in your speech to help your little one connect words with objects, people, and activities in their world.

One of our ‘golden rules’ is as you sign with your baby or toddler it is really important that you say the word (or make the sound, like an animal noise or vehicle sound) when you use a sign - we never sign in silence!

An additional benefit of this is when you do a sign you naturally slow down your speech around those important words (even if you don’t notice it). This draws your baby’s attention further to the word and helps to emphasise its meaning. 😁
