HAF's a Rap for Summer 2025 at The Watershed Slaithwaite

Another great week at HAF creating Lip Syncs and Role Plays all inspired by the research unearthed from the research found out so far Slawit SHOP . A massive thank you to Susanna Meese from Telling Tales for joining us this week at The Watershed Slaithwaite.

What a great week creating jingles based on the business history of the 8 shops on Carr Lane at The Watershed Slaithwaite . We created raps and beats for Captain's Table, Harry Robinson's Hairdressers, Crowthers Butchers, Dyson's Newsagents, GVG, Culture, Vanilla Bean, Swift's Chemist, to name a few! Slawit SHOP

We also managed to squeeze in a metal health session and made some stress balls.

Well done to all involved.

Next week we are focusing on Lip Sync and Role Play using some of the oral history interviews which is very exciting.

What a great first week we had The Watershed Slaithwaite for our creative summer programme.

All the young people did a brilliant job at putting together Jack and the Beanstalk - Carr Lane Addition! In celebration of the Slawit SHOP project.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with you all and a massive thank you to our helpers too!

Moonrakers' 40th Birthday 22nd February 2025. Recruiting local volunteer performers to dress up and re-enact the Moonraker legend.

What a fabulous few days with some amazing young people. We created a Mummers play all about the importance of shopping in Slaithwaite. Luckily we performed a dress run on Saturday afternoon before the snow came!
