πŸ’¦πŸŒž Water Play Fun Today! πŸŒžπŸ’¦

Today our babies enjoyed exploring water play to help keep nice and cool in the warm weather. πŸ’™

As they splashed, crawled and ran through the water, we introduced simple sounds and words such as β€œsplash” to support their early language development and encourage communication skills. πŸ—£οΈπŸ’¦

There were lots of smiles, laughter and excitement as the children explored the different sensations of the water, happily splashing themselves and their friends throughout the activity. 😊

Water play provides wonderful opportunities for children to develop their physical skills, build confidence and engage their senses, all while having lots of fun!

What a lovely way to enjoy the day and stay cool together. β˜€οΈπŸ’™

Today our children had so much fun becoming little hairdressers! βœ‚οΈπŸ’‡β€β™€οΈπŸ’‡β€β™‚οΈ

Using spaghetti as β€œhair”, they carefully practised their cutting skills, snipping and styling different hairstyles. The children then explored their creativity even further by using pipettes and coloured water to dye the spaghetti, creating bright and colourful masterpieces. 🌈🎨

This activity was a fantastic way to develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration, while encouraging imaginative play, creativity and lots of conversations with friends.

It was wonderful to see the children so engaged, experimenting with colours and proudly showing off their unique creations. What a fun and exciting way to learn through play! 😊✨

βš½πŸ… National Sports Week at Nursery πŸ…βš½

Today we have had a fantastic Sports Day at nursery as part of our celebrations for National Sports Week! πŸŽ‰

To make it even more exciting, we have linked our celebrations to England playing their first game tonight. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§βš½ The children came dressed in their favourite football and sportswear and enjoyed taking part in lots of fun sporting activities throughout the day.

We have also been very creative, designing and making our own football shirts, footballs and flags to help cheer on England! 🏴⚽🎨

It has been a wonderful day filled with teamwork, energy, creativity and lots of smiles. 😊

πŸš—πŸ«§ Car Wash Adventures Outdoors! 🫧🚲

Today our children enjoyed exploring our outdoor car wash area, turning it into a busy bike wash station! The children rode their bikes through the car wash before using spray bottles, buckets, sponges and water to carefully clean them. They also used their imaginations by pretending to use hoovers and worked wonderfully together as a team.

This type of play offers so many valuable learning opportunities for our children. Through this activity, the children were developing:

🧠 Problem-solving skills – thinking about the best ways to clean their bikes and exploring different tools.

🀝 Social and communication skills – taking turns, sharing resources and working cooperatively with their friends.

πŸ’ͺ Physical development – strengthening both fine and gross motor skills through spraying, squeezing bottles, scrubbing and riding bikes.

🎭 Imaginative play – pretending to use hoovers and recreating real-life experiences.

πŸ’§ Understanding the world – exploring how water can be used for cleaning and learning about everyday routines.

😊 Independence and confidence – making choices, completing tasks and taking pride in their achievements.

The children were fully engaged, demonstrating fantastic teamwork, creativity and enthusiasm throughout the activity. It was wonderful to watch them learn through play while having so much fun together! 🌟

πŸ’› Wear Yellow for Cystic Fibrosis πŸ’›

Today, our children took part in a very special visit to Beaumont House Care Home as part of our Wear Yellow for Cystic Fibrosis activities.

The children used bubbles to practise breathing and blowing techniques, helping to raise awareness of the daily challenges faced by those living with cystic fibrosis. It was wonderful to see the residents getting involved too, sharing smiles, laughter, and plenty of bubble-filled fun with the children.

One particularly heartwarming moment came when a child proudly referred to their friend by saying, β€œOllie is a hero.” πŸ’›

Moments like these remind us of the kindness, empathy, and understanding our children show every day. We are so proud of how they embraced this important cause while creating meaningful connections with the residents at Beaumont House.

Thank you to everyone at Beaumont House Care Home for making us feel so welcome and for joining us in supporting Cystic Fibrosis Awareness.

🌟 What a wonderful day of learning and exploration in our Caterpillars 2 and Butterflies! 🌟

Today, the children embarked on a space-themed sensory adventure, exploring glittery rice and searching for hidden planets. This hands-on activity encouraged curiosity, fine motor development, and imaginative play as they discovered different treasures hidden amongst the stars. πŸš€πŸͺβœ¨

We also got creative by making faces using playdough and a variety of loose parts, including pom poms and pipe cleaners. As the children designed their unique creations, we had simple discussions about how everyone looks different and how our individual features make us special. 😊🎨

It has been lovely to see the children’s creativity, curiosity, and growing understanding of themselves and others throughout today’s activities.

β˜€οΈπŸŒΌ Summer Fun in Preschool Today! πŸŒΌβ˜€οΈ

Our preschool children had a wonderful time exploring a beautiful summer-themed water tray activity today. Filled with yellow-tinted water, real flowers, jugs, and cups, the children enjoyed pouring, scooping, and experimenting as they played.

This sensory experience encouraged creativity, hand-eye coordination, and early mathematical skills as the children explored concepts such as volume, filling, and emptying. The addition of real flowers sparked lots of conversation and imaginative play, creating a calm and engaging learning environment.

It was lovely to see so much concentration, curiosity, and teamwork throughout the activity. πŸŒΈπŸ’›πŸ’¦
