Work to upgrade classrooms at Hucknall primary school is taking shape

This morning, we had a water safety assembly delivered by Hucknall Leisure Centre for Drowning Prevention Week! We have learned how to stay safe around water, what to do if we are in trouble, who to call and ask for and what the different flags mean when near water. A very important and informative assembly!

We are getting ready for our Water Safety Talks at schools and in the community.

We will be talking about the Water Safety Code, Beach Flags and how to self rescue as well as help others in difficulty within water. 💦

CLLR James Walker-Gurney and CLLR Rory Green along with representatives from the Arc partnership and Nottingham County Council came to look at the new build. Some lucky year 5 pupils (who will be the first ones in the new classrooms) were also lucky enough to get a sneak peak and be interviewed. Look out for us in the press!

On Monday, the Foundation Stage children had a super Forest School session with Mr Charlesworth 🌳

The children teamed up and had to find bugs in the area…real and pretend! The children found some excellent things in the area and showed great curiosity in the searching! 🔍

Mr Charlesworth found a log which was a habitat to lots of different creatures such as snails, spiders, ants, beetles 🪲
