The new term officially kicks off tomorrow! (7th September 2026)

I'm looking forward to welcoming current and new students into the teaching studio to start and continue working on their individual musical goals.

One of my goals is to be able to play 4 instruments at the same time... 😆🙃😜

I can't wait to hear all about your summer holidays and what you got up to. ☀️

🎸Hello! 👋

It's been a great first week back in the teaching studio after some much needed rest and relaxation.

A new term is a great starting point to set yourself some goals/targets. Where do you want your playing to be come Christmas/ New Years time?

🟣 - Do you want to play that particular song?

🟢 - Do you want to NAIL that guitar solo?

🟡 - Do you want to achieve that grade?

🔵 - Do you want to learn how to read music and understand the theory of music?

🔴 - Do you want to just have some fun learning and playing a musical instrument?

I've set myself a few goals for the remainder of the year and would love to hear yours also.

LETS GET TO WORK!

A Taylor Swift-inspired attraction is coming to the Pyramids Shopping Centre this week. The Speak Now Installation Tour repurposes the much-loved Taylor Town trail, which originally formed part celebrations for Taylor Swift's concerts in 2024. It will be outside the food court from Friday July 24 – Friday July 31.

The installation is part of Sound City’s Summer of Music 2026, with free music-focused activities, artist showcases and interactive experiences organised by community groups Rising Tides Music Centre and Future Yard. It is hoping to inspire the next generation of musicians, performers and creatives.

Well... That's me signing off for summer after another FANTASTIC academic year here at Hoylake Guitar Studio.

THANK YOU so much for all your custom and support. It's because of you i can do what I LOVE for a living, passing on my passion and knowledge for music.

This academic year has been fantastic, and I'm soo impressed with the progress made by all the students!

✅️ -100% pass rate with both RSL Awards & Trinity College London exams, including students passing their grade 8 electric guitar exams!

✅️ - AWESOME 'Student Spotlight' Videos, shining the spotlight on students to showcase their talents , hard work and practice paying off!

The studio door will be swinging back open on Monday, August 10th. Those of you who have registered an interest in taking some lessons over the last few weeks of the summer break, i will be in touch to arrange times and days.

Wishing current, past and future students a fantastic summer!
