Our last lesson before the summer holidays was all about teamwork and problem solving! ☀️🔐

The children worked together to solve 18 maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning puzzles hidden around the classroom. Each challenge helped them crack the code and get one step closer to opening the maths vault… and the surprise inside!

A brilliant way to end the year - well done, everyone! 🌟

Due to overwhwelming demand, we have now opened some more places for our final 11 plus mock exam.

Taking place on Sunday 6th September
1pm to 3:30pm
Authentic never seen before mock exam papers aligned to be similar in style and format to the new Quest 11 plus exam.

Paper 1: Verbal Reasoning
Paper 2: Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Each paper takes approximately 50 minutes. There will be a short break between the papers.

☀️ 11+ Wirral Summer Booster Classes ☀️

Keep your child’s 11+ preparation on track this summer with our 3-hour Quest-style booster sessions. Each day focuses on a different subject - Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, or Non-Verbal Reasoning - giving children plenty of time to revise key topics, build confidence, and practise essential exam techniques.

Our sessions include a mix of activities, games, worksheets, and tests, helping to keep learning engaging and effective. We also include a break in the middle of the session, giving children the chance to get some fresh air and recharge before continuing.

A great way to maintain momentum, strengthen skills, and stay prepared throughout the summer holidays. 📚✨

It's been a busy 48 hours but we are ready for the change from GL to Quest assessments.

I wanted to let you know about a recent update regarding the Wirral 11+ exams. A couple of days ago, it was announced that the exam provider will be changing from GL assessment to Quest.

Please don’t be concerned -there is nothing to worry about. The content of the exams will remain the same this year, covering Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, and Mathematics. Quest assessments are designed to ensure a fair process and to help identify students who will thrive in grammar school settings.

Paper 1 will focus on Verbal Reasoning, while Paper 2 will cover Non-Verbal Reasoning and Mathematics.

Please note, this change applies to West Kirby Grammar School, Calday Grange Grammar School, and Wirral Grammar School for Boys and Girls. It does not apply to Upton Hall or St Anselm’s.

Our practice test packs remain highly relevant and are still an excellent resource for preparing at home. Additionally, our 11+ mock exams will be adjusted to reflect the changes and match the Quest format.
