It is with great sadness that we share a former Newman pupil - Melissa Zoglie - has recently passed away. 🕊

As a school, we are incredibly sad to hear of Melissa's passing. Staff at Newman knew her as a lovely, bubbly, young girl with amazing energy. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

To cover the cost of her funeral, her mother Franklin has set up a Gofundme page for anyone who is able to contribute. The fundraiser is incredibly close to the target and we would be extremely grateful to anyone who is able to donate - please see the link below:

The Business, Enterprise and Careers Hub (BEACH) has officially launched at Newman!

On Thursday 23 March, we held a launch event at Newman to invite local businesses to come in and find out about what we are offering as part of our BEACH programme.

The BEACH has been setup to help our young people develop the skills they need to help them on their career journey. With the help of local businesses, we will be able to offer 'Business Broadcast' sessions, a range of work experience placements as well as mentoring from skilled professionals. In return, our students will be highly trained, ready for the world of work after their Newman studies!

We will be hosting other events for our BEACH network to attend, so please keep an eye on our Twitter and Instagram pages - - to keep updated with what we are doing.
