After being crowned British Champion’s in 2023 Southern Knights Open are excited to return for the WGUK: Winter Guard United Kingdom 2027 season.

Join us for an open-door rehearsal with no commitment required — a chance to meet the team, try something new, and see what our Open Guard is all about.

Last weekend we celebrated the end of a very successful 2026 WGUK: Winter Guard United Kingdom contest season with the members from all 3 SK units partying the night away 🥳🤩

Congratulations to our two Member of the Year award winners (voted for by the members themselves) Hallie in the Cadets and Maggie in the A Guard who were presented with their awards on the party night 👏

We now move into our summer programme of rehearsals and it's an ideal time to come along and see if colour guard it the activity for you 🫶

On Saturday, 4th April, the entire Southern Knights family made the journey to the University of Worcester Arena for the 2026 WGUK: Winter Guard United Kingdom British Winter Guard Championships.

After three months of intense competition across the UK, the results are in - and we couldn't be prouder:

• 🥈 A Guard: A Class Runners-up and Silver Medallists!
• 🌟 Rugrats: Fantastic 4th place in the Cadet Class.

A massive congratulations to our performers and staff; these results are a true testament to your relentless hard work and heart.

The highlights didn’t stop there! For the second year running, our SK Stars - Additional Needs Colour Guard inspired a packed crowd of nearly 1,000 people, earning a well-deserved standing ovation for their incredible performance.

On Mothering Sunday (15th March) we held our "home" Winter Guard and SoundSport contest at The Triangle Leisure Centre in Burgess Hill and, in addition to all 3 SK units taking part, we welcomed 12 other Guards, 3 SoundSport units and an Exhibition and we would like to thank everyone that took part and also those that came along to support these great performances.

Our two competitive units had fantastic shows with the Cadets taking 3rd Place in their class and A Guard coming in 2nd in theirs and once again SK Stars - Additional Needs Colour Guard bringing the house down with their exhibition ❤

Thanks also to Wave Entertainment for once again providing a quality sound system for the event👏

Last full rehearsal this weekend and then on Saturday 4th April all three SK units will make their way to the University of Worcester Arena to compete and perform at the British Winter Guard Championships 👊

This weekend is the SK "Home Show" at Burgess Hill where all three of our units, Cadets, A and SK Stars - Additional Needs Colour Guard, will be performing.

Two weekends ago both the Cadet and A Guard travelled to Worcester to take part in one of the biggest contests of the season where the Cadets came 4th in their class and the A Guard came in 2nd in theirs - so its turning out to be a very exciting season.

Thank you again to everyone who travelled up to Worcester to support the Guards and we look forward seeing as many as you as possible this Sunday 15th March at the Southern Knights organised WGUK: Winter Guard United Kingdom contest at The Triangle Leisure Centre in Burgess Hill ❤👏
