Blueberry Nursery School in Hove provides a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, happy, and supported. With cosy spaces, including a newly renovated baby room and dedicated sleep area, and caring, experienced staff, each child receives individual attention to grow in confidence and independence. Outdoor learning, including weekly Forest School sessions, beach walks, and community visits, fosters curiosity, resilience, and a love of nature. Nutritious, freshly prepared meals by the on-site chef support healthy growth and positive eating habits. Catering for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, the nursery offers flexible sessions and funded childcare, helping every child explore, learn, and thrive.

🌍🗺️ Blueberry’s Around The World 🗺️🌍 Toddlers have had the best couple of weeks learning all about the world around them and their peers cultures 🌍 They firstly learned about Zimbabwe where they explored various styles of music and learned about what an Atlas is. Then for Italian week they created their own pizza oven, made pizza playdough and built the Leaning Tower of Pisa out of clay! Next week they will be enjoying learning all about India! 🇮🇳

PRIDE🌈

We have been exploring rainbows this week at Blueberry as this weekend is Brighton Pride.

The children had an amazing fruit salad for snack.

They also explored lots of rainbow water in the garden, this sparked lots of conversations about colour mixing and what happens when different colours are put together.

🏖️Beach School🏖️
Today marked our first Beach School session here at Blueberry and it’s safe to say that it was a huge success!

The children enjoyed exploring different tools to create chalk paint, dipping their feet into the cool sea, spotting shells amongst the pebbles and reading some wonderful stories in front of the calm ocean! 🌊

We are so incredible lucky to have a setting so close to such a beautiful place and we cannot wait to explore all it has to offer with more groups of children each week!

💭🎭🖼️ We visited the Brighton Museum! 💭🎭🖼️ Our lovely littles engaged in some super interesting and fun activities this week. They discovered some wonderful artwork and sculptures and developed their language skills through listening to new words and phrases as they toured the museum. The children at Blueberry love to explore new places and we love observing their joy and happiness through new learning experiences ☺️💫

🦆🌱🌳 Queens Park 🌳🌱🦆 Our Preschool went on a delightful trip to Queens Park yesterday 🦢 They enjoyed feeding the ducks, collecting feathers and laughing at their teachers holding the pigeons! 🦆 We love taking our children out on weekly outings as it gives them many opportunities to discover the world around them, to explore with their friends and learn about natural environment 🦆🐿️🪶

Baby-led weaning gives children the opportunity to explore food independently, helping to build confidence, support fine motor development and encourage a positive relationship with food from the very start.

We know that every family's weaning journey is different. That's why we take time during the settling-in process to understand each family's preferences and chosen approach. Whether parents opt for baby-led weaning, purées or a combination of both, it's always led by parental choice, with our nursery teams there to provide support every step of the way.

Through close partnerships with families, we create positive mealtime experiences where children can safely explore a variety of tastes and textures at their own pace. As they do, they're developing independence, self-confidence and important skills that support their wider learning and development.

📍Blueberries explorers 📍Today our adventurous Pre Schoolers visited Brighton Dome Museum! They had such fun there exploring a variety of different activities and learning about culture. They had opportunity to play games with the Museum staff such as going on animal hunts and then they even got to have the sensory experience of touching shark teeth! They also thoroughly enjoyed creating their own buses and showing them to their friends ❤️
