Why climbing matters

Climbing, hanging and balancing might look like simple play, but they’re helping children develop strength, coordination, balance and spatial awareness.

They’re also learning to assess risk, solve problems and build confidence in what their bodies can do.

At Happy Learners, physical challenge is an important part of play, giving children the freedom to test themselves, try again and discover just how capable they are.

Laura has over 20 years’ experience in early years and a real passion for play-centred learning, outdoor adventure and supporting children as they grow in confidence and
independence.

Having spent her own childhood exploring the woods, riding bikes and playing outdoors, Laura believes passionately in giving children the freedom and space to
discover, explore and learn through play.

Most of all, she loves building strong relationships with our children and their families and watching each little person grow and thrive.

We’re looking for some wonderful people to join our friendly, supportive team at Happy Learners in Hove.

We currently have three roles available:
Baby Room Manager – full-time, Level 3+ qualified
Baby Room Educator – full-time
Lunchtime Cover – part-time, 10am–3pm

If you’re passionate about Early Years, love working with children and families, and believe in the importance of play, creativity and outdoor experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
