Hey everyone! I can’t believe it, but Summer School is just a few weeks away! We are so excited to get started, this will be our 6th year running it! During term time we provide tutoring support, and every summer we run our fun Summer School programme for children from P1–P7. We’ll be at the Bowling Club in Houston, and we’ve got a big literacy focus with loads of fun games, arts and crafts, LEGO, a doll area and lots more. We also go to the park for a picnic and take the football and parachute. it is for little ones from P1 to P7. If your wee one would like to join us, please send me a message. We are reframing what networking can mean.
We spent the day planning for Mic to Hype our exclusive business event happening this month.

What came out of that day was how driven we both are to give women a real authentic space where they don’t have to be afraid to shout from the roof tops about how amazing their business is, we’ll all be there cheering them on from the sidelines.

Here’s the thing when one woman rises we all get to rise. It is in her strength that we all find strength.

This is the mission of this event, give women their space to speak and claim their throne and together we celebrate.

It was so lovely being on Zoom with all the amazing teachers! They have followed the exact steps, shared their posts in other groups, and one of my lovely tutors is messaging me right now. 🤗 Her post is up and the enquiries just keep coming! She said it’s all popping off, so exciting!😂😂

Spent a beautiful day in the park today with Janine from Big Kids Little Learners, Suzanne from I Can with Suzanne, and her lovely wee girl! We met many families who come to our classes. And as I was driving home, I was thinking, when I left school three years ago, I was so delighted to find friendships with Janine and Suzanne, who also made that tough decision to leave school. These connections, these friendships. I will never take them for granted. “Life is just so interesting, isn’t it?” ❤️❤️🥰

This little one came to me a few months ago and honestly the excitement in his face today melted me 🥹

He couldn’t wait to tell me that he’s now messaging his friends on Snapchat all by himself. Before, he couldn’t do it… but now his exact words were:

“I can write on my phone!”

And honestly, THAT is what it’s all about for me.

Tutoring isn’t just about reading a reading book or writing sentences for school. Literacy is a LIFE skill. It shows up everywhere in everyday life.

His mum said he’s now reading road signs, shop signs, menus… basically everything he sees 😂

But the biggest thing? Confidence.

He now realises reading and writing is for HIM too. He’s not scared of words anymore, he’s curious about them.

These are the moments that remind me why I do what I do 💛
