๐ฆ SPOTLIGHT ๐ฆ on: Cheetahs Class
Cheetahs have had a very exciting half term! They have learnt lots of new skills and demonstrated some amazing talents.
This half term, we have been exploring the story Handaโs Surprise. The children really enjoyed listening to the story and identifying which fruits were taken by the animals. In the final week, the children had the opportunity to taste the different fruits and were able to communicate what they liked and disliked. Bananas were a clear favourite, while the passion fruit was not very popular!
During our topic lessons, Everyone is an Artist, we have been learning about a range of famous artists. The children explored and created artwork inspired by Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Jackson Po***ck, and Yayoi Kusama. Our favourite was Jackson Po***ck, as the children thoroughly enjoyed getting messy with splashing and flicking paint.
In the final weeks of term, we will be learning about different UV artists as we prepare for our dance at the Upper School performance.
