Dear Purple Bees Families,

We hope you have all had a wonderful week.

We have had an amazing week learning through fun and play.

The Baby room have had a lovely week with lots of physical garden play balancing on the stepping stones and also crawling through the tunnel. They enjoyed doing arts and crafts by sticking tissue papers onto card and exploring the different textures in the tuff tray. They also enjoyed joining in our nursery rhymes and songs and exploring what's in the box.
They really enjoyed popping bubbles in the garden and stomping on them to make them pop while singing “I had a little turtle”.

The Toddler room has had lots of fun playing in the different areas of learning. They have been making marks with paint dabber pens and also made a collage using flower petals and tissue paper.
They have been making birthday cakes with stickle bricks and celebrating their peers birthdays.
Toddlers have been matching the farm animals to the farm animal puzzle and participating in pretend play in the role play area by cooking food and dressing up.
They have been building cars and carts with the magnet blocks in the soft play area and also pretending to be robots.

The Preschool room have had a fun busy week playing in the garden and exploring different sensory play, shaving foam, sand, water and shaving foam. The children enjoyed the sun in the garden playing with the bricks, doing some jumping and building with the stickle bricks. They also enjoyed talking about school in circle time and reading stories about school readiness preparing them for September and dressing up in school uniform practicing for when they all go to their new schools.

Dear Purple Bees Families,

We hope you have all had a wonderful week.

We have had a fantastic week learning through fun and play.

Baby room have been enjoying spending time in the garden this week, exploring different texture play such as sand and water. We have also enjoyed using the duplo blocks to build different towers with our peers and then knocking them down and beginning again. Babies have also enjoyed working on physical development skills as well when balancing on the wooden plank and using the different coloured stepping stones.

Babies have also enjoyed exploring song and dance time with different objects such as scarves and puppets and during these activities we have been joining in with singing our favourite nursery rhymes.

They have also enjoyed exploring the home corner and looking after the babies as well as listening to our practitioners read our favourite stories.

Toddlers have had a fun and stimulating week, They have enjoyed exploring the foam, they added different things to it such as green tissue papers, vanilla and sea creatures in order to use it in many different ways.

They have also enjoyed exploring the playdough, manipulating the dough, tools and were busy creating different models and shapes. They have been using a range of vocabulary through social conversations with the carers and peers as they were pulling, twisting, rolling and forming the dough.

Toddlers have been busy playing in the home corner showing both individual and cooperative play. They have been talking about their favourite food and acting out familiar roles such as mums, dads, doctors and carers.

They have been solving the puzzles and building blocks together to achieve a common gaol as they were stacking up the blocks to make their own structures. They have also enjoyed looking at the illustrations of the books and were selecting their favourite books, especially the sensory books.

The Preschool room have had an amazing busy week. They were busy playing with the playdough making different pizzas, doing nails and lots more. The children enjoyed ice play out in the garden, watching it being melted by the sun. Pretending to drive buses and singing lots of songs.
They been really interested this week in flowers and what we need to make them grow, they talked about how the bees pollinate the flowers and have been busy making their very own bee hive and reading a story about bees.

Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of Mexican heritage and culture that takes place on May 5th each year. This holiday commemorates the Mexican army's victory over the French army in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

It's a day to honor Mexican traditions, cuisine, and music, and is celebrated by people of all backgrounds across the United States and Mexico.

For CHILDREN, Cinco de Mayo is an opportunity to learn about and appreciate different cultures, try new foods, and participate in fun activities like making piñatas or learning traditional dances.

St. George's Day is celebrated in honor of St. George, the patron saint of England. It is celebrated on April 23rd each year. St. George is known for his legendary defeat of a dragon, which has become a symbol of bravery and strength. The day is celebrated with parades, feasts, and other festivities.

Eid Mubarak!

Eid is an Islamic holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting. It is celebrated to give thanks to Allah for the strength and guidance given during the month of fasting. It is also a time to celebrate with family and friends and to share with those less fortunate.

Ramadan or Ramazan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community.

Although Muslims fast during other times of the year, Ramadan is the only time when fasting is obligatory during the entire month for every able Muslim.

There are a number of other greetings, which can be said to those observing Ramadan, some greetings to wish someone an easy fast are:

🌟 Exciting news 🌟

We are delighted to announce that we recently had our OFSTED inspection. Our report has officially been published and we are pleased to share with you that we got a GOOD in all areas.

We would like to thank all of our amazing staff for their life changing work and our parents for your continued loving support and for being part of our Purple Bees Family.

Bring out your green! St. Patrick’s Day—observed every 17th of March—is packed with parades, good luck charms, oversized hats, and all things green. The event started as a religious holiday, but over time it’s become a celebration of Irish culture.

Celebrations generally involve public parades and festivals, ceilidh, and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks.

Here are some fun facts you can share with your little one on this day:
It is believed that Saint Patrick chased the snakes into the sea and banished them all from Ireland.
The shamrock is a symbol of Ireland.
The Chicago River is turned green every year to celebrate!
If you’re not wearing green, you might get a pinch from a leprechaun!

We have had a lovely week learning through fun and play celebrating Holi festival and International woman's day.

The children have enjoyed participating in a range of activities looking at colours in different forms and reading the book " Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World" by Kate Pankhurst.

The Baby room have been participating in lots of fun activities, they have been doing rangoli tray play with Holi colourful rice for Holi Festival. They have also done some drawing using different coloured crayons to colour in different hand prints of powerful women's name for women's international day.
They really enjoyed joining in with circle time where they sang their favourite songs and participated in what’s in the box.

The Toddler room have had a great week taking part in lots of fun activities. They have been exploring the crazy foam in the water tray with a variety of different boats and containers, scooping and pouring the foam and water. They have also been pretending it’s snowing with the foam, clapping it in their hands and watching it fall to the floor.
The toddlers have enjoyed a painting activity to celebrate the festival of Holi. They chose what colours they would like and used paint brushes to mix them together on the paper. This was great for their colour recognition as well as some children were able to identify that colours to mix together to create new colours.
Toddlers have also been constructing with the magnetic and wooden blocks, playing with the cars and trains in the small world area and role playing with the dolls in the home corner. They also had fun in the sand tray, using the sand moulds to create different shapes.

The Preschool room have shown great interest in building their mark making skills they have been super creative by using their imagination to make their own under water world, a village and a holiday resort.
They have enjoyed sticking with various materials of all different textures. and have gained a strong interest on the topic of space and planets, They have been busy in the home corner making food for their friends and looking after the dolls.

Happy Holi!

Holi is one of the main Hindu festivals. It's a spring festival and is also known as the festival of colour. The festival celebrates the Hindu god, Krishna, who's known as a god of love and protection.

Holi has been celebrated since ancient times in agricultural areas to throw off the darkness of winter and welcome the light of spring.
On this day celebrants light bonfires, throw colorful powder called gulal, eat sweets, and dance to traditional folk music.

Happy International Women's Day!

Every year on 8th of March, International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world!

But why – you might ask – do we have a day, especially for women? Well, it’s fair to say that throughout history, women haven’t received the fairest treatment.

Women haven’t always been able to work, vote, or been given the same rights as men.

Since the early 1900s, women around the world have celebrated International Women’s Day, campaigning for equal rights and shining a spotlight on brilliant women across the globe.

This week the children had so much fun participating in a range of activities and games. The children celebrated St David's day where they made pictures and talked about the celebration.
They participated in world book day where they all came dressed as their favourite book characters and shared their favourite stories and we also had a cake bake sale where we raised an amazing £205.81 and the best part is that any money that we raise at our fund raising events gets doubled by the company so we are donating a huge £411.62 to one of our fabulous parent's go fund me page.
