LED Charity Aid to Nepal.

Excess Luggage UK to Nepal; LED Charity Aid uplift 5000 Kilos of Humanitarian Relief cargo to Kathmandu.

It was Thursday 7th May 2015. When we got call from “Val Pitkethly ” at LED to assist with Humanitarian relief cargo uplift as they had been let down by the RAF due to no space on-board their aircraft to Nepal.

With limited space and a few more telephone calls by Excess Luggage to the airline, we managed secure extra space for LED for flight on the 12th May to Nepal.

Val, Peter Dover & Emma organised “Eddie Stobart” transport to collect relief cargo from Cumbria on Sunday and get it down to Heathrow airport for Monday 11th May 2015. The Eddie Stobart lorry arrived Monday morning with loose cargo on-board which had to security cleared and got ready for flight.

Well when “Push comes to Shove” it was all Hand on Deck with Rolled Sleeves, Eddie Stobart’s driver “Billy” and Excess Luggage staff and Air Menzies Cargo handling Staff at Heathrow offloaded the lorry and secured the cargo on to pallets for security screening, cleared and packed the relief cargo for uplift to Nepal; Kathmandu.

I am very pleased to say that the LED Humanitarian relief cargo left London Heathrow today 12th May 2015 and is on route to Kathmandu to help the people of Nepal.

Khalsa-aid to Nepal.

Excess Luggage UK to Nepal ; Khalsa Aid uplift 7000 Kilos of Humanitarian Relief cargo. It was 2nd of May 2015. When we got call from “ Bal Kaur” at Khalas Aid to assist with Humanitarian cargo uplift. It took a week to organise this relief aid uplift ex UK due to No Cargo Space being available ex UK to Nepal; Kathmandu.

We looked at all option available to us, from Europe to Middle East even cargo moving via India. With over 50 tonnes of Cargo back logged in India and runway problems in Kathmandu

We found a way to assist Khalas-Aid after a few telephone call between myself, “Ba”l & “Jaswinder” at “Khalsa Aid”. After begging the airlines we managed to secure cargo space for 7 Tonnes of Humanitarian for Khalsa Aid " KHALSA AIR". Which is on route to Nepal, as I Type this. We further managed to secure extra space for other Relief agencies. Excess Luggage UK with the help of airlines are currently supplying 45 Tonnes of aid into Nepal.
