The children had so much fun taking part in our Zoo Animals Hunt in the garden! ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ๐ฟ
They enjoyed exploring the garden, searching for all the hidden zoo animals and ticking the correct box each time they found one. ๐๐พ It was lovely to see how excited and engaged they were as they worked together, looked closely and used their observation skills to find each animal.
This fun outdoor activity gave the children the opportunity to learn through play while developing their concentration, attention, problem-solving and recognition skills. It also encouraged them to explore their surroundings and enjoy learning in a hands-on way, just as we encourage through the Montessori approach. ๐ฑโจ
A wonderful morning full of fun, discovery and learning! โค๏ธ

Today the children did a fun and exciting activity where they made their own ice cream! ๐ฆ๐๐ฅญ
The children cut strawberries and mango, mixed the fruits with yoghurt and enjoyed preparing their own delicious ice cream. They were so excited to see how the ingredients came together and loved being involved in every step of the activity. โค๏ธ
This was also a great Montessori learning experience, as the children were learning through hands-on exploration. They explored different textures, colours and tastes while also learning about solids and liquids and how materials can change when we mix, cool and freeze them. ๐ง๐ฌ
Activities like this help children develop their practical life skills, independence, concentration and fine motor skills, while making learning fun and meaningful. ๐ฑโจ
A lovely day of learning, exploring and, of course, enjoying some yummy homemade ice cream! ๐๐ฆ

๐๐ **A Little Snack, A Big Learning Experience!**
Today our little learners enjoyed a wonderful Montessori-inspired practical life activity cutting their own watermelon and preparing their snack independently. ๐โจ Through this simple experience, they practised coordination, concentration, confidence and the joy of doing things for themselves.
And then came the fun part! ๐ Our cardboard monkey became very hungry, and the children decided to **feed it the watermelon skins**! ๐๐ What started as a simple snack turned into a beautiful moment of imaginative play, creativity and purposeful interaction.
We love watching children take an everyday experience and turn it into something completely their own. Independence, imagination and learning all in one little moment.๐ฑ๐

๐พ **A Special Visit from Rex!** ๐พ
We had a very special visitor at our Montessori nursery today โ the lovely Rex! ๐ถโค๏ธ
The children were so excited to meet him and loved learning all about how to care for a dog. They discovered what Rex likes to eat, what he needs to stay happy and healthy, and enjoyed observing his behaviour and asking lots of questions.
It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience, encouraging curiosity, kindness, empathy and respect for animals. ๐ฟ๐พ
A big thank you to Rex for making our day extra special! ๐ฅฐ

๐๐ฅ **Learning through play at nursery!**
Our little learners enjoyed a hands-on experience exploring how cows are milked. ๐ฎ Using a cardboard cow with a glove udder filled with water and white paint to represent milk, the children had a go at gently squeezing the udder and watching the โmilkโ come out! ๐ง๐ฅ
Through this activity, the children learned:
๐ฑ Where milk comes from and how cows are involved in producing it
๐ About farm animals and their role in our everyday lives
๐คฒ How to use their hands and fingers with control and coordination
๐ To observe cause and effect as they squeezed the udder and watched the milk flow
๐ง To follow a simple process and develop their understanding through practical, real-life experiences
๐ฌ To build vocabulary around cows, farms, milk and milking
This Montessori-inspired activity encouraged curiosity, concentration, independence and learning through direct, hands-on exploration. โจ
