Have you ever thought about this?
The most regrettable thing in life is not failing to achieve your dreams.
It is telling yourself, “I can’t,” before you have even truly begun.
Many people do have dreams.
It’s just that the moment a dream appears, countless voices immediately arise in their minds:
“It’s too late.”
“I’m not young anymore.”
“No one supports me.”
“I don’t have the resources.”
“What if I fail?”
So we keep putting our dreams off.
Until we have a little more money.
Until we have more time.
Until the children are older.
Until our work becomes more stable.
Until we feel more confident.
But life is strange.
The longer you wait, the easier it becomes to turn “someday” into “never mind.”
Eventually, you realise:
What holds us back is often not a lack of ability.
It is the fear of beginning.
We are afraid of being laughed at.
Afraid of failure.
Afraid that even after giving our best, there will still be no result.
But think about it carefully.
If you fail, at least you will know that path did not work.
But if you never begin,
you may spend your whole life wondering:
“What if I had tried?”
Sometimes, that regret is harder to let go of than failure itself.
Pursuing your dreams is not a privilege reserved for the young.
Some people find their direction at 20.
Some change careers at 30.
Some start over at 40.
Some finally begin doing what they truly want at 50 or 60.
As long as you are still willing to move forward,
it is never too late.
Your dream does not have to be extraordinary.
You do not have to build a successful business.
You do not have to make a fortune.
You do not have to be seen by the whole world.
It could simply be:
Writing the book you have always wanted to write.
Visiting a place you have always wanted to see.
Learning a new skill.
Leaving a life that no longer suits you.
Doing something you have been afraid to do for years.
What truly matters
is not whether other people think your dream is big enough.
It is this:
Is it something you have never been able to let go of?
Many dreams do not disappear suddenly.
They are simply pressed smaller and smaller by reality.
But if thinking about it still makes something light up inside you,
then it means it is still there.
Do not wait until one day
you finally have everything,
only to discover that you no longer have the courage you once had.
And do not always think you have to go a long way all at once.
Today, you only need to do one thing:
Move a little closer to your dream.
Write the first page.
Send the first email.
Sign up for the first class.
Make the first attempt.
Even the smallest step brings you closer to the answer than standing still and imagining.
To anyone who still has a dream, I want to leave you with this:
You do not need to know that you will succeed before you have the right to begin.
Many of life’s answers only become clear after you start walking.
So stop waiting for “the perfect time.”
Sometimes,
the moment you begin is the perfect time.
If a dream you have avoided for a long time has just come to mind,
perhaps it is not a coincidence.
Perhaps you simply need someone to remind you:
Go and try.
The truly frightening thing in life is not failure.
It is looking back one day and realising that you never worked for the life you truly wanted. ❤️
