Welcome to my Tuition/Teaching/Music page!
I have been involved in music since I was eleven years old. From picking up a pair of drumsticks and learning my first groove, I have adored the feeling music evokes. The raw energy and pure passion you can feel with a guitar in your hands, a piano at your fingertips, a violin on your shoulder, sat behind a drum kit and even belting out your favourite tune in the car is, to me, unmatched by anything else in this world. Music is an entity that is a part of our everyday lives and I love that no matter how hard we try, we can't go a day without hearing something musical.
Music became a huge part of my life and is a major feature in my personality. I'd not be who I am without it. This is the fuel that fired my drive to gain the necessary qualifications and experience to teach music. I love the idea that I could play a part in helping the next generation of musicians chase their dreams of being a rockstar, to help those who have played in the past but are a bit rusty & want the assistance or even help someone pick something up for the first time in their life after always wanting to.
I now, at 30, have my Music and Education qualifications. In addition, I also have two years of classroom/one-to-one experience (in multiple schools throughout the North East), Six years of Private tuition experience and have played in/stood in for many, many, bands from the UK in my time as an instrumentalist.
For the past few years I have kept my private tuition to a minimal simply due to a lack of time in my schedule. However for the first time in years I am no longer a part of multiple bands (at this time last year, I was playing for three bands, and for the first time in a decade, I'm now only in one.)
I have now decided it is the time to offer tuition to a wider audience and focus more on helping people achieve their personal music goals, hoping to inspire the same level of love for music, that I have.
Thank you to those who took the time to read this and like my page, I am sorry for the long winded post but I had a lot to say, like I always do 😅
