Croft House is a privately-run day nursery that cares for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years.

We also offer Before and After School Care to children attending Horwich Parish CE Primary School and Holiday Club to all primary school children.

We are delighted to welcome our new reception children to the Croft House family. The children have enjoyed exploring their new environment in our Before and After School Club (Crofties) and have settled in beautifully.

☀️ WEEK 6 HOLIDAY CLUB ☀️
What a fantastic final week the children had in Holiday Club. The children took part in a variety of activities including visiting Wilderswood and working in teams to create dens and transient art, building rafts and racing them along the stream, having games of basketball, tennis, bowling and archery, creating nature feather wands, making clay pots, building Lego and jigsaws, icing biscuits, making notebooks and taking part in a talent show.

🐞 🌳 LOOSE PARTS BUGS 🌳 🐞
The Wise Owl 2 children used their creativity and imagination to create nature bugs using loose parts such as leaves, pebbles, sticks, googly eyes and wooden tree discs.

☀️ HOLIDAY CLUB WEEK 5 ☀️
The children have had another action-packed week in Holiday Club taking part in lots of activities including visiting Station Park, having games of football, tennis and basketball on the astroturf, creating flowers using playdough, drawing pictures of sunflowers, using wool to create artwork, icing biscuits, working together as a team to create bridges using different resources, making door hangers, designing kites, painting sea creatures, creating boats using Lego and even rescuing a hedgehog!

🍃 🍕 NATURE PIZZAS 🍕 🍃
The Wise Owl 2 children have been having lots of fun exploring our new mud kitchen, using their imaginations to create delicious nature pizzas with mud, pine cones, sticks, pebbles, leaves and colourful water.

☀️ OUTDOOR PLAY ☀️
The children in Butterflies enjoyed exploring outdoors, using water and paintbrushes to paint the balcony, balancing along the beams, riding bikes and developing their sand play skills with buckets and spades. They also experimented with water jugs and containers, while caring for and washing the baby dolls in the water trays.

☀️ HOLIDAY CLUB WEEK 4 ☀️
The children had another exciting week in Holiday Club last week taking part in a selection of activities including making noodle boats and having races along the stream, making fruit pizza biscuits, designing masks using Pablo Picasso Cubism art, making bookmarks, having a game of rounders, having running races, making friendship bracelets, playing team tag games, making milkshake, paying games of golf, bowling and basketball and taking part in scavenger hunts.

⭐️ OUR FIVE SENSES ⭐️
The Wise Owl 1 children have been exploring their five senses - they completed a scavenger hunt in the forest to hear different sounds, had a game of ‘I spy with my little eye’ using their sight, they smelt different spices in a tuff tray, placed their hands in a feely tub to use their sense of touch and tasted some fruit.

☀️ HOLIDAY CLUB WEEK 3 ☀️
Another fun-filled week in Holiday Club taking part in a selection of activities including completing scavenger hunts in Pine Forest, minibeast hunting in the meadow, making minibeasts out of loose parts, creating magnets, making owl pictures to celebrate Owl Awareness Day, playing cricket and football on the astroturf, creating dinosaur fossils and masks and visiting Station Park.

The Busy Bees had lots of fun exploring the meadow and digging for mini beasts - they found lots of worms, slugs and even a frog! They also found a bird’s egg which had hatched!
