We are proud to support Active Norfolk and NWG's Safe To Play campaign, which
promotes positive and safe environments for children and young people taking part in sport and physical activity.

At The Horstead Centre, the welfare of our participants is at the heart of everything we do. Our team are trained to recognise and report concerns related to the safety and wellbeing of our young guests. They can also help families to access support if they need it.

The Safe To Play campaign encourages parents and carers to ask questions about safeguarding when choosing a club or activity. We welcome those conversations and are happy to share how we keep children and young people safe.

At The Horstead Centre, the welfare of our participants is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating spaces where children and young people feel valued.

The Safe To Play campaign encourages parents and carers to ask questions about safeguarding when choosing a club or activity. We welcome those conversations and are happy to share how we keep children and young people safe.

Here are some of the simple questions that Parents and Carers should be able to ask of any provider of sport and activity provision.

We'll be running the popular Horstead Holiday Club , for those aged 8-14. Dates are as follows:

Monday 24th August - Camp Cookery and Paddle Boarding

Tuesday 25th August- Vertical Challenge and Nightline (obstacle course)

Wednesday 26th August - Orienteering and Giant Catapults

Thursday 27th August - Geocaching and canoeing

Friday 28th August - Archery and Orienteering Wednesday 2nd September - Cratestacking and Bushcraft

As usual, there will be limited FREE places available for those eligible for free school meals, as well as pay/day places for those who are not.
All places will are live on Eequ booking system , You can register your interest in advance

• Have safeguarding policies and procedures in place and regularly review them
• Ensure our team receives appropriate training and support
• Encourage open conversations about wellbeing, safety and welfare
• Listen to children & young people & use feedback to shape our opportunities.

We just want to say a huge thank you to all who attended our community day this summer. Your smiles and participation really brought the day to life and made it a great occasion for all of us.
Thank you once again to our friends at The Broad Authority and The Horstead All Saints Church, for being a part of this amazing day! We truly could not have done it without you.
If you missed this Community Activity Day … not to worry as we already have our Autumn Community Activity Day set in stone. Save the date for the -27TH OCTOBER 2026-where we will be welcoming you in for more fun and community packed activities. See you there!!

We're looking forward to seeing you at the first of two Horstead Community Days, this July the 31st from 10.30AM.

This is a FREE community event with plenty of fun and engaging activites for people of all ages, and there're spaces still available... book your places now!

LOCAL GROUPS AND ORGANISATIONS Please also get in touch if your organisation would like to run a stall or deliver an activity on the day. These events are well attended and are a great opportunity to promote your work and engage with our local communities.

FREE Community Activity Day - July 2026

The Horstead Centre and Horstead All Saints Church would like to invite you to another of our popular Community Activity Days, this July 31st from 10.30AM.

As always, there will be games, adventure activities, arts, crafts and lots of open space to enjoy with your families.

THIS YEAR, WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM LOCAL GROUPS / ORGANISATIONS WHO WOULD LIKE TO RUN AN ACTIVITY OR STALL IN THE GARDEN:

ARTS, CRAFTS, SKILLS, SPORTS, EDUCATION.... ALL WELCOME.

Activity sessions at the Horstead Centre have limited capacity and so it is always best to book.
