Dear Parents and Families,

Unfortunately, due to essential building works at North Heath Hall, we have had to delay the start of our new term.

We will now reopen on Monday 7th September 2026.

We appreciate this may be inconvenient and apologise for the change to our plans. However, the works involve drilling and other unavoidable noise, and we feel it is important that the children return to a safe, calm and settled environment.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 7th September!

Kind regards,

Sharon & the New View Nursery Team

๐ŸŒ˜โœจ ECLIPSE WATCHING THIS EVENING! โœจ๐ŸŒ˜

Thereโ€™s something rather exciting happening in the sky this evening โ€” a solar eclipse! ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒ‘

If your little ones are interested in watching, itโ€™s a wonderful opportunity to talk about space, the Sun and Moon, and what happens when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun. ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ™

But please remember โ€” looking directly at the Sun can seriously damage childrenโ€™s eyes. ๐Ÿ‘€โ˜€๏ธ

A lovely little reminder that the world around us is full of fascinating things to discover! ๐ŸŒโœจ

Stay safe and enjoy the sky! ๐Ÿ’›

Another school year comes to an end! ๐ŸŒŸ

What a journey itโ€™s beenโ€”filled with learning, laughter, challenges, growth, and so many unforgettable memories. Iโ€™m so proud of everything weโ€™ve achieved this year.

A huge thank you to all the team, families, and everyone who has supported us along the way. Wishing all our students a well-deserved summer break. Stay safe, have fun, and make lots of wonderful memories.

Our children enjoyed a fabulous Water Party to celebrate our School Leavers of 2026. Our garden provided the perfect environment for this exciting outdoor experience, where the children eagerly filled their water guns, soaked their sponges, and took great delight in spraying the adults. So much fun! ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ˜Ž

It was such a lovely hour of messy, imaginative play. The children were completely absorbed in what they were doing, showing fantastic teamwork, creativity, problem-solving and independence while having lots of muddy fun!

The children thoroughly enjoyed a wonderfully creative afternoon celebrating International Mud Week in our mud kitchen.

Working in friendship groups, they set off on an exciting adventure to collect natural resources from our garden, using recipe cards to guide their search. The children enthusiastically gathered pine cones, feathers, apples, daisies, lavender, mint leaves and plums before returning to create their imaginative recipes.

Due to the extreme temperatures forecast for tomorrow, we have made the difficult decision to close the nursery early at 1:30pm.

We have explored every possible option to remain open for our usual hours. However, following our experiences this afternoon and the conditions within the setting, we have realised just how hot it is expected to become. The wellbeing and safety of the children and our staff must remain our priority, and we do not feel it would be appropriate to continue operating until 4:00pm in such conditions.

We would also like to reassure parents that we expect to be open as usual on Thursday and Friday, when temperatures are forecast to be significantly lower.

Red Heat Alert:
At this time, we intend to remain open and will continue to take all necessary precautions to keep children safe and comfortable throughout the day. We are following guidance from West Sussex County Council and relevant health agencies, and have measures in place to minimise the impact of the hot weather.

We would also like to make families aware that, while we currently plan to remain open, any decisions made by local schools to close due to the extreme weather may have an impact on staff availability, particularly where staff need to make alternative childcare arrangements. Should this affect our ability to operate safely, we will communicate with families as soon as possible.
