🏫 It was great to spend the day at Trafalgar Community Infant School working with small groups and on a one to one basis across Years 1 and 2. These children clearly know the benefits of physical activity and really impressed me with their listening skills, teamwork and perseverance. The sun even shone for us all too!

📢 I’m delighted to now be part of the West Sussex Local Offer provided by West Sussex County Council (WSCC). This reinforces my commitment to working with parents/carers and young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) in accordance with the SEND Code Of Practice (2014).

🧠There’s no doubt some children take longer to learn the basics of football than others and my one to one sessions provide a nurturing environment in which they can gain confidence in all areas of the sport and life in general.
As a coach I work on targeted areas of each child’s game and outlook to overcome obstacles in their football journey, learn the correct techniques and develop a sense of self acceptance according to their specific needs.
Group and team sessions are proving increasingly difficult for many youngsters for a variety of reasons. With one to one coaching the focus is entirely on each child as an individual which allows them to showcase their unique strengths and work on areas for growth in an environment in which feel valued and heard. It really is a true investment in themselves and their futures.

🧠I understand that the way a child behaves and interacts with others is often an expression of how they feel or what they’re dealing with in their lives.
My one to one coaching model prioritises respecting and listening to each and every young person which can boost their confidence and support their engagement levels. I aim to create a safe footballing space for all the children I work with to allow them to express themselves individually through whichever means of communication they’re most comfortable with.
As a sports coach I believe physical activity can play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of young people. And surely all children deserve strong and positive mental health and opportunities to thrive don’t they?

🥅 Session 1 for Alex otherwise known as Mr Benson. This brilliant young man’s joining me for a block of sessions to work on both his goalkeeping and midfield skills. Like the club he supports he’s got champion written all over him.

🥅 Session 5 for Leighton concentrated on a little bit of everything.
Over the past few weeks this champion’s come so far. His attitude and commitment to his time with me come rain or shine’s been what aces are made of.
Dribbling, goalkeeping and shooting all while having fun and building a solid relationship have made both him and I smile. I’m so proud of his achievements.
Once again I can’t thank What Would Mia Do Trust enough for making this happen.

🏡 Back to school doesn’t literally mean that for every child and at RB Coaching I recognise there are a huge range of home education styles that families are increasingly subscribing to.
Parents/carers tell me flexibility’s a key factor in their decision to home educate and this is something I’m keen to support. A lot of football sessions available to this community are set in stone date and time wise and some families may feel this doesn’t always suit them. These activities can also feel uncomfortable or overwhelming for some children I speak with particularly if a factor in the decision to home educate’s been peer and/or SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) related.
Physical activity’s just as important as mental stimulation when it comes to youngsters’ weekly timetables which is why my one to one sessions are available throughout the week with slots to suit personalised schedules. Priced at £25 per child, per hour a 10% discount’s available for block bookings of five sessions meaning a total payable of £112.50 rather than £125.
Please message me to confirm your interest and a registration form will then be sent out to secure your child/children’s place(s).

🎉 Birthday party requests have been a hot topic this summer so far. As well as coaching I also play and watch football most weekends so it’s always a good idea to get those dates to me early.
I run hour long party sessions for up to 20 children and will come to your venue - indoor sports halls, church halls and outdoor 3G/4G courts are all appropriate - to provide high energy, action packed activities such as games/competitions, penalty shoot outs and mini tournaments. I’ll then leave your superstar and their friends to continue the party tucking into food and blowing out the candles on their cake.
Packages start at ÂŁ100 depending upon location and equipment available at your chosen setting.
Please message me to arrange a particular format to suit your child(ren) and remember to source and pay for your venue too!

💪🏻 At RB Coaching I recognise that children with SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) enjoy time away from their parents exploring their own space and developing new relationships.
I have no expectation that any two children will behave or develop in the same way and give all individuals the chance to flourish.
My approach also encourages children to have autonomy as I aim to provide them with a consistent adult response that reinforces their belief in themselves.
It never ceases to amaze me how providing children with a physical and mental health boost through sport can take them to whole new levels in so many areas of their lives.
At the end of the day football really should be for everyone. Let’s not make it a sport that’s against the run of play for some families.

🥅 Session 1 for Leighton with a focus on control. This little superstar’s joining me for weekly sessions and to break the ice this afternoon we also completed the crossbar challenge. Thanks so much to What Would Mia Do Trust for funding this opportunity.
