Our talented pianists Alex, Lexi and Juliette have been selected by Horsham Performers Platform to play at their Young Musicians Showcase to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the building of St John's Church Hall. The showcase is this Saturday, 4th November at 6pm. The performance will be short with refreshments and exhibition in the hall after. Entrance is FREE.

Congratulations to Daniel, Aimee, Anisha, Annie, Benji, Juliette and Ella - our seven students who bravely converted to the new Digital Assessment option after their in-person Trinity College London music grade examinations were cancelled in March.

For you guys, it has been a challenge, but an interesting and valuable project, to learn to set up devices to record yourself, to compress and to trim video files, to convert the format of and to upload/download files, and, above all, to listen to and to be critical of your own playing.

Well done on the commitment and patience you've exhibited on that learning curve to achieve these shiny results!

With the news on Tuesday 17 March that Trinity College London were cancelling their in-person music grade examinations the following day most of our students had their exams abruptly cancelled.

Nevertheless, six students were able to sit their exams on the Tuesday; very big thanks go to the six parents who answered last-minute calls to heroically rush their children from school to the exam centre to fill in exam appointments vacated on the day itself. DMS is very proud to announce that these six students all passed with merits and distinction, which is extra-creditable under those circumstances.
