What a journey! 🌟

R joined me at the beginning of Year 10 after finding science challenging, and it has been incredibly rewarding to see that change into confidence, understanding and such strong GCSE results.

Even more special is seeing that journey inspire R to continue with Chemistry at A-Level and consider a future career in science. 💜

It’s been wonderful to see the hard work, commitment and confidence develop throughout the journey. I’m especially pleased to hear how useful the lessons, discussions and mock exams have been in helping consolidate knowledge and prepare for the final exams.

Another proud moment from this year’s GCSE results.

One thing I’m especially pleased about is how consistent the results were across all three sciences:

Biology average: 7.69
Chemistry average: 7.56
Physics average: 7.50

I teach my students to understand the science properly rather than just memorise answers for an exam, so seeing strong results across Biology, Chemistry and Physics means a lot to me.

Every student’s journey has been different. Some have been with me for several years, some joined later, and each of them has had their own areas to work on and overcome. Seeing all that effort come together on results day is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

Very proud of you all, and thank you again to the parents who have trusted me with their children’s science education.

I’m so proud of my GCSE students and the results they have achieved this year.

Across 48 GCSE Science results, 85.4% of grades were 7–9, with 58.3% at grades 8–9. Every student achieved at least a grade 5, and the overall average grade was 7.58.

What makes me happiest is knowing how much work sits behind these numbers. I’ve seen the effort, the setbacks, the improvements, the extra questions, the revision and the determination over the months and, for many of these students, over several years.

It has been a real privilege to teach them and to watch their confidence grow.

Thank you to all of my students for working so hard, and to their parents for the trust and support throughout their journey with Sugee’s Science Tutoring.

I hope you are all feeling very proud of what you have achieved today. You deserve to be.

You’ve worked SO hard, and now it’s time to show what you know. Go in with confidence, stay calm, and give it your best. I believe in every single one of you! 🙌

Here are some final tips to help you feel ready:

🖊️ Bring: 2 pencils, 2 pens, ruler, eraser, scientific calculator, highlighter
👀 Read ALL parts of the question — don’t miss graph labels, tables, or units!
🔢 Use the correct significant figures and standard form in calculations
📄 Check every page — sometimes they stick together!
📝 Plan your 4/6-mark answers before writing — structure matters
✅ Multiple choice? Tick the RIGHT number of boxes!
🚫 Don’t stress about the paper afterwards — no post-exam discussions. Focus forward!
🔬 For required practicals: Include equipment, method, ranges, intervals & what you’ll do with the data!

You’re READY. You’re CAPABLE. You’re going to do AMAZING. 💥
