We are so very proud of our Year 5 and 6 district sports team who despite the high temperatures proved to be an incredible team. They finished 2nd in the competition and showed outstanding sportsmanship and determination.
A huge thank you to Mrs Clough, Mrs Burke and Brad for fantastic preparation before the event, the organisation and support throughout the day.

Super proud of the team work and independence of our Year 6 children for running a cake sale today after school. They did all the advertising and organising and with the support from amazing parents created some fantastic cakes to sell. It was a joy to see them take on a challenge and show such maturity in seeing it through. Well done team! X

Spanish Enrichment Day
On Friday 6th June, some children from Year 5 attended an Introduction to Spanish Enrichment Day with children from other local schools: St Mary’s, Castlewood, St Roberts and Arunside Primary. The children were so enthusiastic and bonded very well. They learnt greetings, numbers, colours and food items in Spanish, finishing with a cafe role play. St John’s children showed exemplary behaviour and were excellent ambassadors for our school! They were very keen, confident and had a go at everything. Mrs Curtis and Mrs Lee were so proud of them

This morning we held our parade to celebrate Mary the Mother of Christ. It was lovely to see all the beautiful flowers arriving. The children led the celebration with such enthusiasm and reverence and Father Tristan blessed our new statue and our Rosary beads that the children use.

Congratulations to our second group of St John's children who made their First Holy Communion at the weekend. It was another glorious day with a packed Church. We are so very proud of the children and pray that they will continue their journey of faith. We look forward to celebrating with them at a school Mass soon.
