Helen Webb Tutoring

Helen Webb Tutoring I am a fully qualified teacher who tutors children online, in English & maths from Early Years to KS3

I'm Helen Webb, a fully qualified primary school teacher with over 16 years teaching experience in both state and independent schools in the UK and Ireland. I live in the Horsham area and tutor primary school aged children in English and Maths. My aim is to help children become confident, independent and happy learners who, armed with the necessary skills, embrace challenges and see education as fun! All children learn at different speeds and in different ways. Education is not 'one size fits all' and I offer tailored tuition to suit your child's needs. I specialise in tutoring all aspects of Literacy and Numeracy, from Early Years and Reception through to KS3. As I strongly believe in making learning as visual and practical an experience as possible, I include a wide range of games, short videos and visuals within each lesson. Children learn best in a relaxed and familiar environment, so online sessions make this possible. Online learning also allows for greater flexibility in timing and location. I have also discovered it to be much more productive and children appear more focused, achieving more in a shorter period of time. If you would like to arrange sessions for your child, please contact me for further details.

Wishing everyone a very happy New Year!!

I've been having a little clear out of resources I either no longer need or have duplicates of.

Below are some books that are free to anyone who is interested. Please note that they are for collection only from the Horsham area.

Many thanks!!

A little visual I've created for cube numbers - remind children that they need to create a cube (which will hopefully help them remember not to just multiply the number being cubed by 3) 😊

Is your child getting confused about square numbers? Here's a little visual that I made that may help.
Once your child can see that each array forms a square, it should help them remember not to just multiply by 2. 🙂
