🛒 Tesco Token Collection is now up and running! 🛒

We’re delighted to have the opportunity to raise up to £1,500 for our school through the Tesco Community Grant token collection! 🎉

We would be so grateful for your support. 💙 Please ask your friends, family, neighbours and local community to collect their blue tokens and vote for our school whenever they shop at Tesco.

We’re up against some much larger schools, which makes it even more important that we get as many votes as possible! Every token really does make a difference, and together we can give our school the best possible chance of reaching that £1,500 target. 🙌

🌿 What We’ve Been Up To at Forest School! 🌿

Me, Myself & Nature – What a Fantastic First Session Back!

What a wonderful first Forest School session back after the summer holidays! 🌳

The woodland was full of laughter, excitement, creativity and lots of happy faces as we welcomed back our returning children and met our new Forest School explorers.

There was plenty going on, with children choosing what caught their attention and moving between activities throughout the session.

🦍 Find Groot had children exploring and searching through the woodland, while our Me & Nature Trail encouraged everyone to look closely at the world around them.

🪵 We made “Me Sticks”, name tags and wood-slice coasters, creating some lovely woodland treasures to take home.

🔨The children had the chance to use hammers to create initials or shapes. With wood slices, nails and wool.

🐞 We went mini-beast hunting, made leaf masks and experimented with mirrors and reflections.

🧪Superhero Potion Lab is always very popular, creating, exploring, mixing and stiring their strength potion or visibility concoction.

🦊🐰 And because the children asked for it, we couldn't say no to a game of Fox and Rabbit! There was plenty of running, chasing, laughter and excitement as the children enjoyed a favourite Forest School game.

🌱 Child-led, creative & full of fun

It was fantastic to see the children making their own choices, following their interests, working together and coming up with their own ideas. Some children happily joined activities with friends, others created independently, and many moved between different adventures as their curiosity took them.

The best part? The children were having FUN! And there was certainly no shortage of laughter in the woods! 💚

We’re already looking forward to seeing what adventures next week brings...

🌱🥕 **HELP US GROW! WE’VE BEEN SELECTED FOR TESCO FRUIT & VEG GRANTS!** 🥕🌱

We’re absolutely delighted to share that **St Andrew’s C of E School Nuthurst** has been selected to take part in the **Tesco Fruit & Veg Grants August–November 2026 voting round!** 🎉

Our project, **“Allotment Sessions”**, will give our children the opportunity to grow their own fruit and vegetables, learn about where food comes from, develop practical skills and enjoy spending time outdoors. 🌿👩‍🌾👨‍🌾

🔵 **The blue voting tokens are NOW in local Tesco supermarkets and Express stores!**

We would be incredibly grateful if our **families, friends and local community** could get behind us and help us collect as many votes as possible. 💙

We’re a **small school competing against a much larger primary school**, so **every single blue token really could make a difference!** 🙌

🛒 **If you’re shopping at Tesco, please remember to pop your blue token in the box for St Andrew’s C of E School Nuthurst!**

Yesterday we attended our Foundation Service at St Andrew's Church to celebrate our wonderful Year 6 leavers.

During the service, we also presented our annual cups to one child in each year group in recognition of their outstanding effort and achievement throughout the year.

Congratulations to all of our award winners, and we wish our Year 6 pupils every success as they begin their next adventure. We are so proud of you all! 🌟🎉
