Hello everyone, we have some exciting news to share. As many of you know we sadly closed our doors to our physical classes in Feb 2020. But, two years on, and with 8 successful cohorts of online exams behind us, we are proud to introduce Dramaworks ONLINE. We are now offering spaces to past students who want to re-engage with their LAMDA qualifications (with Saturday places available.) So get in touch and let us know how you're getting on, we would love to see some familiar faces again!

Hello and welcome to Dramaworks Online! My name is Julia Martin and I have over 30 years experience working with young people and children, as well as 20 years working with LAMDA exams. Here at Damaworks Online we offer accessible, online courses, for those wanting to achieve high LAMDA Grades within a short timeframe. Our intensive courses are tailored to the students goals; whether that's gaining UCAS points for University or starting a vocational training for Drama School. Hello to all our amazing students past and present! We will be celebrating 10 years of providing great fun workshops for all ages this December. We are holding a party on 14 December from 2pm to 6 pm at the Wesley Hall, London Road Methodist Church and hope to see as many of you as possible! I am so proud of all your achievements and hope
you will pop in during this time to re connect and enjoy some party food and maybe some drama games! Nick Henman ( BFG) is back leading sessions and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you as well as past leaders. So many of our students stayed for so long at Dramaworks that it felt like a family! Amelia Blakey, our longest running student ( the full 10 years!) is now an assistant workshop leader and undertaking her Gold medal LAMDA exam after achieving a Silver medal with distinction.

Get ready for Halloween by learning how to act out spooky characters! We will lead you in an imaginary journey to the heart of the forest where magic can be found. We will devise spells and potions to bring forth strange and unexpected events. We will create performances to entertain and thrill! Be prepared for a fun adventure of imagination!

We are situated just a one minute walk away from Swan Walk, so perfect if you would like a bit of me time at the shops!

We have recently added a new addition to the team, Lauren Smith! As well as having a performing arts degree and being an actress, Lauren has lots of experience working with children and youth groups.

We have close ties with LAMDA and because of this, all of our children do really well in their examinations. Any children taking grade 6 and above can use these exams to go towards their UCAS application! Making our classes a fun and easy way to gain those valuable points to get into university!

We currently run two classes on a Saturday at the Methodist Church, London Road:

11:00-12:30 - 11-16 years
13:30-3:00 - 7-10 years

These classes include a one hour workshop which features drama games, confidence building and physical theatre. This is then followed by 30 minutes focusing on the LAMDA course.

Did you know that as well as being a fun and engaging way to build acting skills and confidence, Dramaworks also puts children through their LAMDA exams. This gives the children accredited qualifications and those who take the grade 8 exams receive qualifications are equivalent to academic A levels.

This means they are also worth UCAS points! These extra points could be the boost your child needs to get into their chosen University!

Now that the children have all settled back into their school routines, it is a great time to think about out of school, extra curricular activities.

Dramaworks is a fun and engaging way for children build their skills and confidence in a safe environment, as well as an excellent way to improve their theatre and acting skills. We are able to offer free trials of our drama classes to all children before joining, so they can get a feel for the classes.
