Today we created a big sun to represent the solar eclipse that is happening tonight. The children enjoyed glueing and sticking pieces of paper to the sun.
We talked about the moon and sun developing understanding the world. 🌙⭐️☀️

Summer Holidays in the Discoverers.

Another wonderful few weeks at nursery! 🌈
Our explorers have been busy exploring, creating, learning and having lots of fun through a range of exciting activities to support their learning and development.

Problem solving skills with puzzles 🧩
Developing our fine motor skills on the chalk boards. ✍🏻
Exploring textures in shaving foam and investigating bugs in gloop. 🐞🪲🕷️
Blowing bubbles developing co-odination and communication. 🫧
Threading pipe cleaners through a sieve supporting fine motor, eye co-odination, concentration and creativity.
Not forgetting lots of free flow learning, and having fun at nursery!

While our 3-5's are off on their well deserved summer Holidays ☀️ our explorers room remains open and is always full of fun and learning.

Our explorers have been keeping busy getting involved with lots of exciting activities...
Foil painting with brushes, car painting and using the water paints outside in the garden encouraging sensory exploration and fine motor. 🎨
Exploring musical toys 🎵building towers and emptying and filling containers whether it's in the oats or in the water tray these all promote a wide rage of skills across the EYFS.
We plan our activities to support every child's development while encouraging independence, curiosity and learning through play.

As another wonderful academic year comes to an end, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing families for your kind words, thoughtful cards and generous gifts. Your support, appreciation and kindness mean so much to our team and are truly valued.

It has been a joy and privilege to watch your children learn, grow and flourish throughout the year. We are so proud of each and every one of them and feel incredibly lucky to have shared so many special moments together.

To all of our families, we wish you a fun-filled, relaxing summer and hope you make lots of wonderful memories together. ☀️🌈

And to our school leavers, the time has come for your next big adventure. We are so proud of everything you have achieved and know you will do amazing things as you start school. We will miss your smiling faces, unique personalities and daily laughter, but we can't wait to hear about all the exciting things you go on to do.

🎉☀️ End of Term Summer Party Fun in Our Over 3s Room! ☀️🎉

What a fantastic way to celebrate coming to the end of a wonderful term! Our children in the Over 3s Room had an amazing time at their Summer Party, filled with laughter, excitement and lots of smiles. 😊

The children enjoyed a variety of fun activities throughout the day, including: 🎤 Karaoke performances that showed off some amazing singing skills
🎲 Party games and dancing that brought plenty of excitement
🫧 Bubble fun, with children chasing and popping bubbles
🍪 Biscuit icing, where creativity was on full display
🌿 Forest School crafts, inspired by nature and imaginative play
✨ Colourful tattoos and arm painting, with our little ones choosing their favourite characters and designs!

It was wonderful to see the children celebrating together, making special memories and enjoying the friendships they have built throughout the year!

Our three‑ and four‑year‑olds had a very exciting morning today — they met some truly fascinating creatures up close! They saw Gary the giant snail, Shelob the tarantula, Mango the millipede, Jaja the tree frog and Wonda the corn-snake! A huge thank you to Ben from ZooLab for bringing the animal world to life with such fun and enthusiasm. A big well done to our children, who were so calm, gentle, and respectful with every creature they met. We are very proud of them. 🐌🕷️🐸🐍

What an incredible workshop for our amazing 3–4 year olds! 🪘🥁✨
They took part in the most vibrant, high‑energy drumming workshop with the brilliant Ollie Heath, and wow did they rise to the occasion.
Despite the very warm weather, our little superstars kept the rhythm going, drummed their hearts out, and filled the room with smiles, laughter, and some seriously impressive beats. Their enthusiasm didn’t melt in the heat — it only got louder.
Huge thank you to Ollie for bringing such joy, music, and magic to our children. And a massive well done to our little drummers for giving it their all. We’re so proud of every single one of them.
Here’s to rhythm, resilience, and lots of cold drinks afterwards!

We would like to extend our thanks to the Rainbow Theatre for their wonderful interactive performances for the over‑3s. Their lively retellings of Goldilocks and The Three Little Pigs had the children fully engaged from start to finish.
Congratulations to all the children for participating so enthusiastically, and a special mention to our budding young actors who showed such confidence and creativity. 🌈⭐️🎭
