A conversation I’ve heard several times with couples over the past few weeks is:

“You never told me that.”

“You never asked.”

And that’s the difference between honesty and transparency.

Honesty is telling the truth when you’re asked.

Transparency is choosing to share before your partner has to ask. It means openly letting them into your thoughts, feelings and experiences.

Healthy relationships are built on our willingness to be honest, our courage to be transparent, and curiosity to understand each other.

So here’s something to reflect on today…
