I'm a qualified teacher (PGCE) and currently tutor GCSE French and teach Travel & Tourism at a local college. Over the last few years I have taught French to learners aged from 4 to 84! I started with fun school clubs in primary schools, which grew into online tutoring for KS3 and GCSE level. More recently, I’ve focused on relaxed, beginner-friendly adult conversation groups—helping people rebuild
confidence, stay curious, and rediscover their love of French after often being made to feel it was “too hard” at school. I'm proud to be an active member of Hornsea Town Twinning and for the last few years I have run a pen pal exchange linking local primary school children with their peers in Bouaye, our twin town in France. Starting this September, I’m hoping to offer friendly online conversation sessions that connect English learners in France with French learners here in the UK. It’s a fun and supportive way to build confidence, practise real-life language, and make meaningful connections across borders. My aim is always to build confidence and a love of language learning through encouraging learners to give it a go rather than worry about getting things wrong.
