A reminder for all Parents and carers we have The Nursery Studio visiting the Nursery on Tuesday 18th October if your child does not attend that day and you would like their photos taking please ask a member of staff to book you in.

It’s hot. It’s sunny. You’ve been told not to use sun cream on babies under 6 months.

How are you going to protect them from the sun’s rays and the light shining into their eyes?

Loads of people put blankets or muslins over their prams. It must be safe, right?

Right…?

Even a light cover over the pram, buggy or car seat can increase temperatures exponentially. One publisher (Todays Parent) found that an uncovered pram reached 22C, one with a muslin hit 37C after an hour!

Use a clip on sunshade to allow airflow, dress them in light clothing and try and stay out of the hottest sun when you can.

Another lovely visit to school for our Pre Schoolers Transitioning to Horncastle Primary School. We met Mr Bladon the Headmaster today and Mrs Clarke the Reception teacher and had a great time exploring the outdoor area. All children walked brilliantly both ways to school and very all very thirsty when they returned.

This morning we had a visit from PCSO Nigel who helped our transitioning Pre school Children with road safety. We had a walk down to the local Primary School checking for the dangers of the road and learnt how to cross the road safely. All of the children listened and did a really good job.

We have had some new arrivals at Nursery we now have 7 baby chicks that have hatched. All babies are doing well and are being nurtured by Josh at Home. Josh keeps chickens at Home and thought that it would be a good idea to bring this experience into Nursery for the children to enjoy. Our children have been busy thinking about names for them all.

Graduation Party in the Garden 2022 great fun was had by all and the sun shone for us making it the perfect afternoon. Thank you to Cheryl for bringing her Mini Movers to us and creating some great Party vibes. We are going to miss our little characters but we know that each and everyone of them are ready for their next transition to big school. We wish them all good luck and it will never be good bye but see you later.

Another lovely transition session at Horncastle Primary School, the children explored the garden area, class rooms and had a look in the big hall where they will be having their lunch in September. All the children walked beautifully down to school and back. They showed a really good understanding of keeping safe beside the road and were able to talk about the dangers. Good Job Pre Schoolers you were amazing.

A lovely session at Horncastle Primary School was had by our Pre School children transitioning to school, we had a stay and play session.
