Are You slogging all hours in the gym & still not seeing results?? 🤓
The mistake people often make is going all out with the training but neglecting the finer detail to nutrition & consuming enough protein. You will not build muscle or maintain a healthy metabolism without it.
Remember you cannot out train a bad diet- insufficient or empty calories that are filled with rubbish just doesn’t cut the mustard!
Protein at EVERY meal along with protein filled snacks will make heck of a difference along with ensuring you’re eating a balance of Carbs, Fibre & healthy fats too because yes they’re ALL important and play a vital part in your nutritional health!
Protein alone assists with 👇
🔸Overall performance with lifts
🔸Muscle Recovery
🔸Lean Muscle Growth -keeps fat stores low
🔸Muscle Maintenance especially as we age
🔸Keep you fuller for longer -stops snacking
🔸Improves Metabolism -your body becomes a powerhouse and melts fat away.
🔸helps with weight loss and keeps it off
🔸And so much more!
When trying to calculate protein each day, you really want to try and work to a minimum of 100-120 grams a day. This is sourced as much as possible from whole foods & if using a protein supplement, choose low calorie, low sugars!
The correct amount per individual is worked out accordingly by your trainer based on your exact weight at that time along with your goals and how active you are. But the more you weigh, the more protein your body needs. This should be reviewed naturally if you lose or gain weight.
So start dialling in your nutrition, it’s not just about the calories, Protein is non negotiable & should be up there at the top of your Triangle- your Hierarchy of Needs!
Hope you found that useful 🐠🎏
