Langshott Ladybirds Nursery is run by a committee of parents and is situated in the grounds of Langshott Primary School. The nursery caters for a maximum of 21 children a session and welcomes children aged from 2 to 5 years. The nursery has a policy of inclusion and welcomes children from all backgrounds, cultures, religions and those with specific needs.

What a lovely autumnal week we have had! We mixed up autumn potions, counted, sorted and rolled conkers, made leaf caterpillars, had a go at mark making in the shaving foam, made new colours and patterns welly boot painting, explored the sensory bottles, made apple pies in the oats and made patterns in our cinnamon playdough using autumn treasures! We also did some conker roll painting and painted hanging pinecones! Phew, we have been busy!! 🍂🍁🍃

Autumn 1 week 3

This week we have been practicing our colour recognition on the light table, matched and threaded wooden hoops and scarves and used our rainbow fine motor skills boxes. We used paint rollers and big brushes to do BIG painting! We talked about the colours mixing and the new colours we created!

Jess bought in some big sunflower heads from her garden and we used tweezers to pick the seeds out and count them and created collage sunflower pictures! We had a go at making some natural paint with blackberries and had lots of fun in the mud kitchen!!

We also sorted our family counters by size and colour!

Our rainbow boxes have been helping us work on our fine motor skills and colour recognition! 🌈
