� The environment has three base rooms bespoke to each age group. This allows staff to tailor individual learning and play to support the development of each child’s needs, and to identify and nurture the talents in all children. Through play, we can learn about all kinds of things such as homes, roads, shops, families, and the different things people do each day.

Playing with our cars and houses is a fun way for us to learn about the world around us and our community. As we drive the cars, explore the houses, and create little stories, we begin to understand everyday life.

Looking at wildlife, whether this is out the window or in a book.

We was looking at the pigeons in the book and pointing out what fruit we can see, this will encourage curiosity and helps us learn about the natural world around us.

We develop our imagination, communication, problem-solving, and social skills.
Simple play with cars and houses, alongside exploring wildlife, helps us make sense of their everyday world while having lots of fun.

Throughout the nursery, we have always followed safer sleep policies and procedures, and have recently updated our training in line with The Lullaby Trust’s safer sleep guidelines.

We only use cellular blankets or appropriately fitting sleeping bags with the correct tog for the weather, and all sleep areas are temperature controlled.

we always place the children on their backs and if they move to a more comfy position we continue to monitor within our safer sleep requirements and breath check procedure.

A member of staff remains with sleeping children at all times, checking them both physically and visually every 5 minutes.

🌟 Learning, Development & Community Engagement 🌟

We are always proud to embrace opportunities that allow us to expand our knowledge, develop our skills and strengthen our connections within the local community.

It was a valuable opportunity to learn more about NG tube feeding and gain a greater understanding of the support that may be required by children and families. Experiences like this help us to develop a more inclusive and informed approach, ensuring we are better equipped to support the individual needs of every child in our care.

We love being able to learn from others, share knowledge and play an active role within our community. 💜

🍅🌱 Our Little Toads have been busy little gardeners! Today we picked some of our lovely home-grown tomatoes, all grown from tiny seeds that every room planted ourselves. We also harvested a beautiful home-grown courgette and had a little check on our mini pumpkins to see how they’re getting on! 🎃💚

It’s been so wonderful watching our plants grow, learning where our food comes from, and enjoying the excitement of harvesting something we’ve grown together. 🌿👩‍🌾👨‍🌾

In owls we have been making hedgehogs out of clay. We thought this would be a great way to help develop our fine motor skills using different tools such as scissors and cutters to help us. First, we rolled the clay into balls and then used the tools to create the hedgehog spikes.
As we are entering autumn, we are enjoying exploring different animals we may see before hibernation starts and the changes in the world around us.

🎂💕 What a fantastic outcome from our cake sale today! 💕🎂

A HUGE thank you to all of our amazing parents and families for your incredible support today. And to Sarah for organising the cake sale!
Every single contribution has helped us raise money for a cause that is very close to our hearts. 🩷

This fundraiser is particularly special to us as we are raising money in honour of our wonderful colleague and friend, Nikki, who has been facing her own difficult journey with cancer. 🎀💗

And we’re not finished yet! 💪✨

This weekend, Megan, Holly, Melissa, Nikki & Tina will be taking on the challenge of completing the Shine Walk Half Marathon! 🌟🚶‍♀️

It’s going to be a huge challenge, but we’re doing it together for a cause that means so much to us. Every step we take will be in honour of those affected by cancer and, most importantly, to show Nikki just how much she means to us. 💕🎀
