Today is World Teacher Day! So at the start of another school week we hope that today in particular all the amazing teachers out there will be able to enjoy a well-deserved relaxing evening. In reality, they will all probably still be working hard prepping their classes for tomorrow & not realise how appreciated they are and what a difference they make to so many!
We are very grateful for all the fabulous language teachers we have met over the years. They have inspired us to love languages, travel and the great variety of cultures across the world.
As BilinguaSing teachers we hope, in turn, that we also inspire future generations to love & embrace language learning.

"Halloween is just around the corner and to help spread our love of languages and celebrate my favourite time of year, we are offering THREE local nurseries a FREE music & foreign language session which can help your little learners to achieve their early learning goals.

During the session, we will be:

👻 using new vocabulary in English and in a foreign language;
🎃 practicing our fine motor skills;
🦇 recognising counting patterns;
🕷️ talking about similarities and differences in different countries.
🕸️ demonstrating our confidence by trying a new activity.

So, if you work in a nursery or pre-school and are looking for ideas on how to celebrate Halloween AND offer your children a great activity to boost their learning and development then look no further!

Today it's 🇩🇪 'Germany Unity Day' 🇩🇪 which commemerates the fall of the Berlin wall and the unity between East and West Germany. It has been a public holiday since 1990 when the formal unification was officially completed 🙌

"It's International Translation Day! 📕 🤓
I personally love hearing about when translations go wrong... Did you know, for example, that KFC famously mistranslated their slogan 'Finger Lickin' Good' into Chinese as 'Eat your fingers off!' And Vauxhall's car the 'Nova' literally translates as 'does not go' in Spanish 🤣
On a serious note, translation is a huge part of language learning which we champion in our classes through our bilingual learning fun. You never know, your little BilinguaSinger might grow up to be a translator one day! 🇪🇸 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇮🇹
