Children in Butterflies displayed a keen interest in flowers. To enrich this experience, we set up a florist shop in our garden. The children engaged in role play, selling and buying flowers, and created beautiful bouquets using tulips and leaves. They practised both fine and gross motor skills by wrapping the flowers with string. We introduced a variety of vocabulary, including bouquet, bunch of flowers, petals, stem, and thorn. Additionally, we discussed how the food waste we collect each day at the nursery serves as nourishment for the flowers.

Every child learns in their own way - and at their own pace ๐
Inspired by the teaching methods of Maria Montessori, we create a calm, thoughtful environment where your child can explore, make choices and build independence naturally.
Through hands-on experiences and gentle guidance, they begin to develop confidence in themselves and their abilities. Itโs a quieter, more considered way of learning that really respects each child as an individual.
