An AMAZING total raised by Team PATCH - Hordle CE Primary School PTA this academic year. A huge well done and thank you for your relentless efforts this year.

Our sincere thanks to Team PATCH and to our families and community of Hordle for your ongoing support. The money raised helps with the enrichment of all of our children's journeys whilst at Team Hordle and really does make a difference.

Team Wild had lots of fun creating our handprint tree! The children chose their own paint colours, building independence and confidence in making choices. As they painted their hands, they described the paint as "cold" and "slimy," developing their sensory language. The activity also supported hand control, coordination, creativity, and teamwork as everyone contributed to our beautiful tree.🌳

This week in Team Nest, we are reading 'The Train Ride' by June Crebbin. The children love this story and have been busy building train tracks and talking about visits to the seaside. We have also learnt the Makaton signs for 'train' and 'tunnel'.πŸš‚πŸš‡

To celebrate Wimbledon, Team Nest set up a court and a 'net'. Team Nest put together two teams; Team Bananas (Freya) and Team Chickens (Miss Fletcher). The children tried their best to hit the ball across the 'net', using children's tennis rackets borrowed from Coach Dobson. Afterwards, we celebrated our achievements by making our own strawberry and buttercream cupcakes. πŸŽΎπŸ§πŸ“

The children have been enjoying some calm and quiet time outdoors, independently exploring and looking through our Under the Sea stories. They are showing an interest in the books, carefully turning the pages, looking at the colourful illustrations, and engaging with the familiar characters and sea creatures. This quiet activity is encouraging a love of reading in a relaxed outdoor environment.

To celebrate the King's birthday, we had a very special tea party this afternoon. The children made their own cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches, and we had scones with jam, and everyone had a cup of tea! We sang Happy Birthday to King Charles and then played some party games. πŸ‘‘πŸ°β˜•
