Was Shakespeare the first ever rapper? Not officially, but as you will see when we collaborate to playfully jigsaw puzzle our words together in certain ways we can manipulate rhythm and sound to enjoy the musicality of poems.

In this two hour workshop young people will have the chance to enjoy playful readings of some of the author’s favourite poems before getting to take part in playful exercises to create their own-
In a supportive environment designed to enhance confidence and creativity with word play 🙏🏻

It’s just over two weeks until Africa, Ivory and Grandpa is available to buy. I was reading chapter 1 to kids in workshops this time last year, it’s just taken a very long time to edit! So I am relieved it is at last a book, and whether I want to change anything or not, it is now a living un-changeable thing 🙏🏻🤞🏻🫶🏻
