🎉 Class of 2026, You Did It!🎉

There was plenty to celebrate at Sherfield this morning as our Class of 2026 received their GCSE results.

42% of all grades were awarded at grades 9–7, with almost a quarter at grades 9–8. While 69% of all grades were awarded at grade 6 or above.

But for us, the story behind the results is just as important as the grades themselves.

Our students achieved, on average, nearly a full grade higher than their expected outcomes.

As Head of Seniors Zoe Neville-Harris said:

“Beyond the impressive results, we are most proud of the young people they have become. They have embraced opportunities, supported one another and demonstrated the values that define our school community.”

For many of our students, the next chapter will begin here at Sherfield Sixth Form. Whatever comes next, these results are just one part of their Sherfield story.

✨Good Luck, Year 11! ✨

Tomorrow is GCSE Results Day, and we wanted to take a moment to wish each and every one of you the very best of luck.

No matter what your results show, remember that they reflect just one part of your journey. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, resilience, determination and growth you have shown throughout your time in Year 11. You faced challenges, supported one another, and gave your best, and that is something worth celebrating.

Results can bring a mixture of excitement and nerves, but whatever tomorrow brings, there will be staff on hand to support and guide you.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow 8.30am to 11.00am and sharing this important milestone with you.

Good luck, Year 11 and remember to be proud of everything you have achieved.

📣 2026 A-LEVEL RESULTS ARE IN! 🎓✨

And what a year it’s been for our incredible Year 13 students! 💙

We’re celebrating an outstanding set of results and some very exciting next steps…

✨ 45% of A-Level and BTEC grades achieved A–A or equivalent*
🌟 25% achieved the very highest level of A or equivalent*
🙌 59% of students achieved at least one A*
👏 75% of grades achieved A–B or equivalent*

And there were some fantastic individual subject performances too! 🎉

📚 83% of Geography grades were A–A*
🧠 Two-thirds of Psychology students achieved A–A*

But results day is about so much more than grades…

Our students are now heading off to an amazing range of universities, including Durham, St Andrews, Bristol, Southampton, Exeter, Liverpool, Queen Mary University of London, Surrey, Reading, East Anglia, Swansea and UWE Bristol. 🎓

From Veterinary Science and Zoology to Engineering, Law, Mathematics, Music and Sport & Exercise Science, our students are following their passions and pursuing their ambitions.

There may be a few nerves as you wait for tomorrow. But before you find out your results, take a moment to think about everything that brought you here.

You're not the same person who first arrived at Sherfield...

You've grown, changed, challenged yourself, made friendships, learned from the difficult moments and discovered more about who you are.

And that is something no results day can measure 💙

Tomorrow, we'll be here to celebrate the people you've become, and the exciting journeys that lie ahead!

We celebrated not just the end of the exam season, but also the years of growth, determination, and resilience you’ve shown, especially after tough days.

You've faced every challenge with humor and strength, and we couldn't be prouder of how you’ve handled it all.

Regardless of what results day brings, remember that you are brilliant, hard-working, and amazing people ready for the next chapter.

Lord of the Flies is a hard story to tell...

It asks a lot of the people performing it, emotionally and physically.

Watching our students take that on, was something else.

The staging was amazing.

But honestly, it was our students that stole the show in every moment, a look, a pause, a scene that landed harder than anyone expected. (Poor Piggy - if you know, you know)

🎭 This was theatre at it's best.

At Sherfield, the arts aren't an add-on. They're at the heart of who we are. This is what happens when young people are given the space, the challenge, and the support to create something extraordinary.

Well done to all our students, both on stage and behind. And to our drama department for leaving us wanting more! 👏

🎉 Huge congratulations to our students Scott and Ethan, who have both been selected for the U16 Hampshire County Football Squad for the 2026/2027 season!

⚽ The trials were fiercely competitive, held across multiple rounds and featuring the very best U16 players from across the whole of Hampshire. To earn their place from such a talented pool of players makes this achievement all the more remarkable.

We are incredibly proud of both of you! Well done💙

✨ Last week Sherfield Prep, didn't just read about history. They lived it.

Our Year 3–6 pupils had an incredible experience as Prime VR visited Sherfield School to bring the past to life like never before!

Our Year 3 explorers found themselves face-to-face with ancient Mayan civilisation, walking through temples and discovering a world that existed over a thousand years ago, all from their classroom! Older pupils across Years 4, 5 and 6 journeyed through their own fascinating moments in history.

We believe technology should open doors, not close books. These immersive workshops didn't replace learning, they supercharged it. 📚🚪

When children can see, hear and feel history around them, curiosity sparks in a way no page can replicate.

Your child doesn't just learn history here. They experience it. ✨
