A reminder for all my families - registration for the Plymouth Grammar School 11+ Practice Examinations / Familiarisation Session opens on Monday 17th April.
There is always a high demand for a limited number of spaces and while not essential for taking the 11+ in September 2023 it can be beneficial experience. Use the links below to register with your preferred school.

Admissions to Key Stages 3 & 4 (Years 7 – 11) Our main entry point is in the Autumn term for Year 7, although entry is possible to other year-groups or at other times of the school year, dependent on the availability of spaces.

After the announcement of the new lockdown I’m thrilled to see my new visualiser arrive in the post this morning.
Looking forward to trying this out in tomorrow’s lessons, but I might have to take Pippa the cat away before she tries to find a new place to rest!

For my 11+ students due to sit exams next month, please see the website link for details of a potential change of date for both the boys and girls exams. This has not been confirmed at this stage and of course if it does happen we will somehow find a way to support you until November.

Lots of adjustments made over the past few months with a move to on-line tutoring and using new technology. This morning is another change with a private social distancing style 11+ mock test to build confidence.

For my 11+ students this week we are looking at one of my favourite childhood stories - The Wind in The Willows, full of rich and unusual vocabulary to expand their comprehension and writing. Who knows what ‘leather gaiters’ are?!
